Jill Duggar Dillard's Latest Post Shows Where She Stands With Her Siblings

Once a close-knit clan, the Duggar family of "19 Kids & Counting" fame has fractured in recent years. In addition to the scandal surrounding oldest son Josh Duggar, the relationship between daughter Jill Duggar Dillard and dad Jim Bob Duggar may also be beyond repair. Jill has revealed that she had to disconnect from her father for the sake of her mental health (via The U.S. Sun), and hasn't visited her childhood home in years.

Fans have wondered whether the father-daughter feud has impacted Jill's relationship with her 10 brothers and eight sisters. Her husband, Derick Dillard, has said that they don't see the family "as often as we would like." But while Jill hasn't discussed the topic in recent months, certain Instagram posts offer a hint as to the state of the sibling union. For example, Jill's recent baby shower was thrown by cousin Amy King, and her sister Jessa Duggar Seewald was one of the guests. Followers wondered why there were no pics of the sisters together, but Jessa retorted, "Please let's not assume there's a negative motive behind everything we do and do not do."

Most recently, another baby shower was the setting for a reunion between Jill and many of her family members. But her followers noticed that one detail in the photos seemed off, and are speculating if this was planned or just coincidental.

Jill's baby shower outfit raised questions

John-David Duggar and his wife, Abbie Duggar, shared some surprising Mother's Day news this past May: They're expecting a baby boy, a brother for their 2-year-old daughter, Grace. Over the weekend of August 12, Abbie celebrated her baby shower with a host of her sisters-in-law — including Jill Duggar Dillard.

Jill, who just welcomed her third baby in July, posted a new photo of herself with Abbie to her Instagram Stories. "Congrats @johnandabbie," she wrote. "Loved getting to celebrate baby today!"

Another pic, posted by family friend Esther Bates, is a group shot of Abbie with Jana Duggar and Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, along with in-laws Katey, Kendra, and Lauren Duggar. All the women are wearing blue in an apparent nod to the new boy on the way. But Jill is missing, and the photo of her with Abbie shows her in a green shirt and flowered skirt.

Commenters wondered if this hinted at the status of Jill's relationship with her family. "Why couldn't they take pics together?" asked one. "Maybe Jill knew the guests were 'invited to wear baby blues,' but she chose not to do it," replied another. A third guessed, "I doubt that Jill was involved in planning/throwing the shower, so there's no reason for her to get the dress 'memo.'"

Yet another took the high road. "Wearing blue or not, I'm sure she was happy to be there and was included. So happy for Jill."
