The No. 1 Way Meghan And Harry's Upcoming UK Trip Will Differ From The Last

Despite Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, currently being embroiled in the midst of a legal battle against the U.K. (via Reuters), he and the Duchess of Sussex will return to his home country soon. It was previously thought that this visit was so the Duke and Duchess' children could potentially spend time with Queen Elizabeth, but this doesn't seem to be the case, as Lilibet and Archie will apparently not be present on the upcoming trip, according to Geo News.

This could be to avoid attention and keep the focus on work instead, as the upcoming visit appears to be a working one for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. A spokesperson for the couple announced that they will be visiting several charities they are involved with (via Independent). As well as the U.K., the couple is also visiting Germany during their September trip. Meghan Markle will give the keynote address for the One Young World Summit as a counselor for the charity, whereas Prince Harry will give a speech at the WellChild Awards in London.

However, this visit will differ from previous trips for one key reason.

Their upcoming trip will take place next month, the first one to the UK since June

Express reported that royal commentator Natalie Oliveri said she believes it is "highly likely" that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, will be accompanied by cameras on their next trip to the United Kingdom.  The reason behind this particular trip being filmed is supposedly because the Royal Family can't sanction what can and cannot be filmed, unlike at the Platinum Jubilee earlier this year. As Marie Claire noted, there were cameras present at the Invictus Games back in April, showing that Prince Harry and Meghan being accompanied by a film crew isn't a new thing.

The Duke and Duchess signed a huge multi-year deal with Netflix soon after their departure from the Royal Family in 2020 (via The New York Times). It is unclear what exactly the footage filmed so far will be used for, but with Prince Harry's memoir set to be released later this year, according to The Guardian, it's clear that he and Markle will not be out of the papers any time soon.
