The Person Who Helped Jill Duggar Dillard Recover From Surgery Might Surprise You

Jill Duggar Dillard of "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On" fame has had a complicated relationship with her family following a shocking falling out with her parents. After she and her husband, Derrick Dillard, decided to leave the TLC reality show, things became tense between the couple and Jill's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar (via Us Weekly).

However, things may be improving for the family. In happier news, Jill and Derrick recently announced the birth of their third child, a son they named Frederick Michael Dillard. She took to Instagram to share the new arrival with her followers.

"Hey! We are finally back on Instagram after being locked down & unable to post for awhile!! In case you missed our blog post last week, 'Freddy' Frederick Michael Dillard is here!" Jill gushed. "Frederick was set to arrive later in July, but he decided he wanted to come a little early (the day before big brother Samuel's birthday!), so we had our planned C-section a bit before originally planned."

However, following the birth, Jill suffered a health scare. In her moment of need, a surprising member of her family stepped in to help care for her.

Michelle Duggar came to Jill's side during recovery

Jill Duggar Dillard underwent surgery to remove her gallbladder a few weeks after giving birth to her third child. She took to Instagram to update her fans on her health journey.

"Well...I almost made it to my 6-week postpartum well-check without incident but ended up with a horrible bout of pain earlier this week that culminated yesterday in having to have gallbladder surgery," the former reality tv star wrote. "I wasn't excited about having to start my healing time clock over again, but I am so thankful for good medical care & so many other little blessings along the way...help from family and friends + the relief now and thought of hopefully never having to deal with another bad gallbladder attack again!!"

When it came to the support of her family and friends, one of her main helpers may be a surprise. It's no secret that Jill has been estranged from her parents, but when she needed them most, Michelle Duggar showed up.

In the comments of her Instagram post, Jill mentioned that it was her mom who came to her aid, helping her go on walks and giving her a heating pad. Could this be the start of a reunion between the Dillards and the Duggars?
