Jodie Foster was first linked to photographer Alexandra Hedison in 2013. Only a few months after the pair began dating a source shared with E! "It's pretty serious. They're totally in love."

The happy couple dated for almost a year before they walked down the aisle at a weekend wedding in 2014, as noted by People. "They are very private when they're around people they don't know," a source shared with People. "But when they're together, it can be like they're in their own world." Hedison previously dated Ellen Degeneres in the early 2000s.

Upon accepting the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, Foster addressed the speculation surrounding her sexuality for the first time (via The Guardian). While the actress never uttered the words "I'm gay," in her speech, she did hint at this reveal. "I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago, back in the stone age," Foster shared. "In those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family, coworkers and then gradually, proudly, to everyone who knew her."

Aside from her marriage to Alexandra Hedison, Jodie Foster has been in another serious long-time relationship with production manager Cydney Bernard. The couple dated for 15 years before they broke up in 2008, according to The Daily Mail. While Foster and Bernard never married, the two share two sons together, Charlie and Christopher, who goes by Kit.

Despite their breakup, the former couple still seems to be on very good terms. The pair have been spotted grabbing coffee together, and Foster even helped Bernard move furniture (via The Daily Mail).

Foster confirmed that Bernard still holds a special place in her heart during her 2013 Golden Globes speech. "The Silence of the Lambs" star referred to her ex as her "heroic co-parent, my ex partner in love, but righteous soul sister in life. My confessor . . . most beloved BFF of 20 years," as reported by The Guardian. "Thank you Cyd," the actress went on to say. "I am so proud of our modern family, our amazing sons, Charlie and Kit who are my reason to breathe and to evolve . . ."
