  • lsabelle discovered a love for magazines at an early age when she would save up money to buy them from stores and even write her own.
  • In college, she developed a passion for long-form writing by taking several advanced Creative Writing courses, serving as a Writing Center consultant, and contributing to Vassar's AAPI literary magazine, covering topics such as identity and belonging.
  • Her proudest journalism moment was her first print byline in Rhode Island Monthly for a special feature on quahogs.


While in her undergrad, Isabelle began as an Editorial Assistant writing for both Rhode Island Monthly and Inspirebytes Omni Media. She then transitioned into the digital marketing and PR industries with a part-time Social Media Marketing position at IOM and a summer fellowship with Small Girls PR. Isabelle most recently worked for Socialite Media as a digital marketing intern while completing her M.S. in journalism. She is currently a freelance lifestyle and entertainment journalist.


Isabelle attained a B.A. in English and media studies with a minor in French from Vassar and an M.S. in journalism with a magazine specialization from Northwestern University in Chicago.
