The 2022 Hallmark Holiday Movie Starring Days Of Our Lives' Alison Sweeney

Alison Sweeney has been acting since she was a child, and has made appearances in many television shows that you may have forgotten about such as "Webster," "St. Elsewhere," and "Tales From The Darkside." She also made a cameo on "Friends" and appeared as a contestant on celebrity "Fear Factor" (via Entertainment Weekly). The actress also showed off her hosting skills when she was hired to be the face of "The Biggest Loser" back in 2006. However, despite all of her television work, Sweeney is still most commonly known for her role as Sami Brady on the beloved soap opera "Days of Our Lives."

On the soap, Sweeney's character Sami was portrayed as a bad girl with a heart of gold, as fans both rooted for and against her through the decades. The actress first appeared on the sudser in 1993 and spent many years scheming, lying, and falling in love in Salem, per Soap Central. Some of Sami's most notable storylines include her love triangle with Austin Reed and Carrie Brady, romances with EJ DiMera, Rafe Herndandez, and Lucas Horton, disguising herself as a man for months, and nearly being executed for a murder that she didn't commit.

Sadly, in 2014 Sweeney announced that she was leaving "Days of Our Lives" and Sami was written off the show (via E! Online). However, Sweeney has made it a priority to return to Salem on a regular basis for some juicy storylines, and ensure that Sami is still very much a part of the show.

Over the years, Alison Sweeney has become known for more than just her role as Sami Brady on "Days of Our Lives." Meanwhile, Sweeney recently signed a brand new deal with Hallmark (via Deadline), which also ensures that she has a brand new holiday movie arriving in 2022.

Sweeney's latest Hallmark holiday movie is sure to get you in the holiday spirit
