Jessa Duggar Seewald's Holiday Season Reportedly Interrupted By Concerning Property Issue

The Duggar family of "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On" fame do the holidays big. While they may not go as big as their cousin, Amy Duggar King, who gives a gift to her son every day in December, the big family is no stranger to large holiday gatherings.

This year looked a little different for the brood, however. It was the first holiday celebration since Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's eldest son, Josh, was arrested and sentenced on charges of child pornography (via Us Weekly). Josh's wife, Anna Duggar, and their children, still celebrated at the Duggar family home in Arkansas.

Josh was not the only Duggar notably missing from the family's gathering this year. A few of the family's eldest daughters, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jinger Duggar Vuolo, were also missing. Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband, Ben Seewald, were among those missing from the festivities as well. Some fans have assumed that Jessa may be estranged from her family (via Cafe Mom).

Now, we are learning that spending Christmas away from her family is not the only thing Jessa has been going through this holiday season.

The Seewalds had a major fire breakout on their property

Jessa Duggar Seewald has been rumored to be estranged from the rest of her family following the fallout from her eldest brother, Josh Duggar's trial, and fans assumed that is why she was not at the family's annual Christmas gathering this year. However, it seems her holiday season is more stressful than many knew.

The U.S. Sun reported that there was a large fire on the Seewald family's property in Arkansas. The blaze started when an unhoused man accidentally set a shed on fire as he was attempting to find warmth. The couple does not currently live on the property.

A report of the incident read, "A man was walking down the street and had emerged from the shed. The man stated that he had a warming fire inside the shed and it had gotten away from him."

The weather conditions were 25 degrees below zero that night. No one was harmed in the fire.
