The Red Lipstick Amal Clooney Uses For A Classic Glam Look
Before the world knew of Amal Clooney as the power fashion icon she is today, she was – and still is — a passionate and awe-inspiring barrister with a brilliant legal mind. She specializes in international law and human rights and has been known to represent journalists, high-profile clients, and victims of abuse and violence worldwide — in style.
The co-founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice – an initiative that provides free legal support for members of the LGBTQ community, minorities, women and girls, and journalists – Clooney gained even more recognition when she married actor and filmmaker George Clooney in 2014. Since then, the press, media, and paparazzi have taken notice of her makeup looks and OOTDs wherever she goes — even while at work.
As it turns out, she doesn't necessarily mind the attention as it allows her the opportunity to redirect the focus toward her notable causes. "I think all I can do is try to turn the spotlight to what is important," Clooney shared in a 2022 interview with TIME.

Time after time, Amal Clooney has captured the public's attention because of her classic-yet-bold makeup that's almost often paired with either an elegant gown or a power suit. Who says you can't be pretty, passionate, and powerful all at the same time?
While Clooney has shut down many a red carpet over the years, her glam at the inaugural Clooney Foundation Albie Awards in September 2022 really wowed thanks to her bold, red lip. Celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury took to Instagram to share the details on Clooney's look, noting that her "darling friend" wore the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Red Carpet Red from her eponymous makeup line.
The stunning lip color is a ruby red matte lipstick with blue undertones. It was the cherry on top of Clooney's radiant makeup base, petal pink blush on the apples of her cheeks, and neutral eye makeup. Despite the lipstick having a striking color, it gracefully complemented Clooney's classic glam look without overpowering her already gorgeous facial features.

As if being a passionate fashion icon isn't enough, a universally-flattering lipstick shade from Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips 2 lipstick line was named in honor of one of Tilbury's muses, Amal Clooney. Even though Clooney's go-to shade when she's needing that extra boost is a fiery red, she apparently loved the berry pink hue so much that the brand named the berry lipstick with a warm undertone "Amazing Amal." The lipstick shade is just perfect for her skin tone.
Not one to be afraid of switching between dark and light colors, Clooney has been photographed wearing deep plums, bright reds, and delicate pinks depending on the occasion. For the royal wedding (pictured above), Clooney wore Charlotte Tilbury Beauty's lip liner – which is a must when applying lipstick – in Bond Girl. It was topped with a mix of Matte Revolution lipsticks in Walk of Shame and Bond Girl. To mix things up a bit, when Clooney graced the Prince's Trust Gala in 2022, she was seen sporting a matte poppy red color called Red Wishes lined with Kiss 'N Tell lip liner all from Charlotte Tilbury.
