Inside Barron Trump's Insanely Lavish Life

Although Barron Trump seems to keep his life pretty private, he has inevitably grown up in the public eye. When Donald Trump and his family moved into the White House -– and into front-and-center news and media –- Barron was just ten years old. Now, the only son of Melania and Donald Trump is seventeen and will be a full-fledged adult soon, though his 6'7 height may be fooling people into thinking he's already reached adulthood.

Despite growing up in a high-profile family, there's not a lot out there about Barron or his life. But what we do know is that growing up in his family has allotted him a good amount of luxury and privilege, from fancy gifts from celebrities to the best living accommodations one could dream of. As the son of a president — not to mention the first boy to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy Junior all the way back in 1963 — it makes sense that Barron carries a sense of prestige. Below, we'll dive deeper into the details of Barron Trump's insanely lavish life.

Barron Trump was on Oprah at just two months old

These days, Barron Trump is known for staying out of the public eye, but back when he was just a few months old, he stepped out in a major way: the infant appeared on the Oprah show with his parents in 2006. (You know you're living a charmed life when your birth is important enough to appear on Oprah!)

In a clip from the occasion, Donald Trump is asked how it feels to have a baby in the house after "all these years," referring to the large age gap between Barron and his half-siblings. Trump replies, "I think it's terrific, and Melania is a fantastic mother." Apparently, Melania felt the same way: "[Donald]'s amazing," she said of Trump's parenting skills. "He takes him in the morning when he wakes up and he brings him to his room and they're watching TV together, reading the papers." Interesting father-son activities to do with an infant, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

In the clip, we also get a peek into Barron's nursery, and it comes as no surprise that it's completely decked out. The luxurious nursery has oversized stuffed animals at every turn, along with an oversized crib and rocker.

Barron had caviar-infused moisturizer used on him

If your mom launches a skincare line, it's only natural that you get to reap the benefits. And, apparently, if your mom is Melania Trump, that means you get to have caviar-infused moisturizer used on you each night.

When Melania launched her skincare line Caviar Complexe C6 in 2013, the line, which included five products, was intended to "improve and enhance" users' appearances, according to American Spa. The anti-aging products were developed after ten years of research, targeting free radical damage, improving collagen production, and repairing skin. "I have always believed in taking care of yourself both inside and out," Melania said. "And my skin care collection, which truly improves and enhances one's appearance, does just that. I am proud to bring my passion for healthy and beautiful skin to the world."

Unfortunately, Melania's skincare line flopped pretty quickly after it was released, but not before Barron got slathered in the $50-$150 products. According to Melania (per ABC News), her caviar moisturizer "smells very, very fresh" and she used it on her seven-year-old son after his nightly baths. "I put it on him from head to toe," she said. "He likes it!" If that's not luxury, we're not sure what is.

He had his very own floor in his family's NYC penthouse

Donald Trump and Melania Trump lived in a penthouse in NYC's Trump Tower when Barron Trump was born. Photos of the penthouse show the place decked out in ornate furniture and gold walls and ceilings -– the penthouse looks fit for royalty, to say the least.

But Barron didn't just get to grow up in a fancy house; he had his own personal floor. The fifth avenue penthouse featured a floor right above Melania and Donald's bedroom that was devoted entirely to Barron. It included a nursery, living room, kitchen, and living quarters for Melania and nannies (per People).

Apparently, baby Barron liked his extravagant living arrangements, as Melania described him as a "very good baby." Per Melania, Barron was "not like a crybaby -– he's calm, and it's fantastic." Growing up in a fancy penthouse would just be the beginning of Barron's life of luxury –- after all, it doesn't get more regal than living in the White House.

...And a very personalized room in the White House

When the Trumps moved into the White House in 2017, it wasn't a long and drawn-out transition. Quite the opposite, actually: According to Inquistr, the Trump family's living quarters, including Barron's bedroom, was completely assembled in just five hours, and as the moving trucks for the Obamas pulled up on the west side of the White House, the moving trucks for the Trumps pulled up on the east side. Within five hours, one family's home was completely transformed into another family's home.

And "home" it became. Not only did Barron get his own bedroom in the White House, but he also got the most personalized space one could ask for. Barron's room was stocked with his favorite brands of toiletries and soaps, among other personal care products, as soon as he moved in. As reports stated at the time: "The White House staff will know what every member of the Trump family likes, as far as food, snacks, and personal items. This will be stocked and waiting for the family so they can obtain it at a moment's notice."

He was given a very luxurious gift by Ellen DeGeneres

You know you're living the good life when Ellen DeGeneres sends you a present just for being born. And it takes things to the next level when that present is a gold stroller complete with its very own chandelier.

Along with many other presents the Trumps received upon Barron's birth, the talk show host and comedian sent her best wishes in the form of a ridiculously lavish stroller. "It's fun," Melania said (per People). "It makes you laugh."

Despite the fancy gifts Barron has received, it appears that Melania has been focused not on spoiling her son, but rather on giving him the best parenting she can offer. In 2015, she told People, "I like to be hands-on. I think it's very important. Barron is 9 years old. He needs somebody as a parent there, so I am with him all the time. As you know, my husband is traveling all the time."

When it comes to interior design, what he says goes

In a 2012 Hip Mama interview, Melania described Baron as "a very strong-minded, very special, smart boy" who is "independent and opinionated and knows exactly what he wants." And this opinionated nature apparently carries over into how he likes his living spaces.

According to his mother, he never liked typical kid stuff; even at a young age, he preferred clean lines and white in interior design. "Whatever he wants to do with his own room later on, he can do it. But it's amazing, he does not like covers with airplanes or cars on them," Melania said.

That's not to say Barron wasn't a normal kid in many ways. According to Melania, he had his own playroom that he decorated with "pictures and art and all of his stuff." And like many other children, he was fond of drawing on the walls; apparently, he once wrote "Barron's Bakery" on one of the walls. Melania's reaction to this? "He is very creative."

He attends prestigious private schools

When it comes to the schooling of the children of presidents, you can expect that it's going to be top-notch. And for Barron, this was certainly the case: he attended St. Andrew's in Potomac Maryland, which costs up to $50,000 per year in tuition. But attending St. Andrew's was actually a groundbreaking choice for Barron, since for the past thirty-five years, all presidential children have attended D.C.'s Sidwell Friends (per Town and Country).

In 2021, however, Barron transferred from St. Andrew's to Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, where his family had returned to live at Mar-a-Lago. According to People, the school was "founded in 2011 by billionaire William Koch, brother to Republican mega-donors Charles and David Koch and a previous fundraiser of Trump's campaigns." When Barron enrolled, Scott Siegfried, Oxbridge's Director of Advancement, said, "We look forward to welcoming him into our school and community." From what we can tell, Barron is settling in well at his new school. As for the tuition cost at Oxbridge Academy? A whopping $38,500, according to the school's website.

He was taught three languages at a young age

While other kids were learnings their ABCs, Barron was busy learning three languages: English, French, and his mom's native language, Slovenian. Of course, learning multiple languages is a privilege not all kids are able to experience, but perhaps what stands out more than his trilingual upbringing is the amount of dedication and attention his mother has devoted to him.

"I am a full time mom; that is my first job. The most important job ever," Melania said in a 2012 Hip Mama interview. For better or for worse, many kids do not have the privilege of being raised by a full-time mom; statistics show that most kids in the U.S. are raised by two working parents. But for Barron, his mom made sure that her free time was wholly devoted to him.

"I started my business when he started school," she shared. "When he is in school I do my meetings, my sketches, and everything else. I cook him breakfast. Bring him to school. Pick him up. Prepare his lunch. I spend the afternoon with him. Sometimes I have obligations, but I also think children need to see a parent do what her passion is. It is a good example for a child. So the child can find passion as well and follow that passion in the future."

His mom spent 'every minute' with him as a kid

Melania Trump may be known as the steely and silent former First Lady, but it seems she should be known for her parenting and devotion to raising her son. In many interviews, Melania stresses how important it is for her to be with her son as much as possible.

"I like to spend every minute with him. I feed him. I change him. I play with him," Melania said shortly after Barron was born (per the New York Post). For a family that could certainly afford to hire some nannies, it appears that Melania was firmly against outsourcing help for raising her son. In 2015, Melania told People, "I like to be hands-on. I think it's very important." Donald, for his part, agreed, saying, "We keep it [nannies] down to a minimum. If you have too much help, you don't get to know your children."

Melania is also focused on listening to her son and encouraging him to learn and grow. "I listen to what he says, what troubles him and what he is excited about," she told Hip Mama, adding that she believes a parent should "give a child room to make mistakes in order to learn." Now that Barron is almost an adult, there's a chance that Melania's very dedicated parenting may be a bit annoying for the teen. Either way, we'd say having your mom doting on you 24/7 is proof of quite a lavish life.

He had a home theater and bowling alley

Living in the White House is a privilege that very few get to experience in life. On top of the prestige of living there with his family, Barron also got all the perks that come along with living in the White House, which apparently includes a home theater, a swimming pool, and a bowling alley.

According to Inquisitr, prior to the Trumps moving in, the bowling alley already had shoes in Barron's size, and the home theater's collection of films was updated. We understand that having at-home entertainment is pretty important when you're in the position Barron was in; after all, it's probably pretty difficult to go hang out at the bowling alley when your dad is the president.

With that said, living at the White House offered Barron and his family a level of luxury that's hard for many of us to comprehend. On top of the basketball courts, swimming pool, bowling alley, and home theater, the Trumps were also able to customize their 6-bedroom living quarters in any way they saw fit.

He's always worn the best of the best when it comes to clothes

Even from a young age, the so-called "mini-Donald" was a fan of formal wear more than casual clothes. Though Barron was the object of some scrutiny for wearing casual clothes as a child -– or, in other words, wearing normal clothes that kids like to wear like t-shirts and shorts -– he has, for the most part, dressed in stylish and high-quality pieces, and is frequently seen in suits and other formal wear.

In 2013, Melania said of Barron, who was just seven years old at the time, "He's not a sweatpants child. He doesn't mind putting on [a suit] – but not every day – and he likes to dress up in a tie sometimes like Daddy" (per ABC).

Meaww commentator Jadan Horyn noted that Barron's sartorial flair may even lead him to work in fashion one day. "He certainly has the familial connections to make that happen," Horyn said. "He can certainly dress to kill and I wouldn't be surprised if he does [work in fashion]."
