How Many Dancing With The Stars Couples Are Still Together?

In Hollywood, reality shows are known for their conversion rate of turning on-screen couples into off-screen couples. There are quite a lot of factors behind this phenomenon — the cut-throat competition, strategizing, practice sessions, and adrenaline rush of winning. Whatever the reason, finding love is never overrated and is meant to be celebrated. Sadly, most of these reality television couples break up or drift apart a few years after the show is aired. At least that is the trend we have noticed.

Like most reality television competition shows, "Dancing With The Stars" has also given birth to many real-life couples, and for some of them, the show made them meet their true loves. As they say, if it is written in the stars, there is not escaping from the one. Here are the "Dancing With The Stars" couples who found their life partners while working on the show or had a chance to work on the show with their real-life partners.

Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart

Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart met during "Dancing With The Stars" season 31 in 2022. The pair who had put on quite a great show with their emotional storytelling techniques were eliminated during the semifinals. On February 14, 2023, Durant confirmed that the couple is dating. "My Valentine. Happy Valentine's Day," the "Switched at Birth" star wrote on Instagram captioning a selfie of the couple.

During their training for the dance show, the "Coda" actor, who is Deaf, had told reporters that Stewart was learning sign language for him. "She knows how to sign, she's learning how to sign. Before, my interpreter ... he'd be there interpreting for us at practice, and now he fades away during practice and it's nice. She understands me," he said. He also said that Stewart was a brilliant woman with amazing skills and that he was confident that she could teach him (via Us Weekly).

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy crossed paths for the first time in 2009 when they met on Broadway. Two years later, Murgatroyd joined "Dancing With The Stars" where Chmerkovskiy was already working since 2009. The couple started dating in 2012 and after a few ups and downs got engaged in December 2015 while performing onstage in Miami. In January 2017, the pair welcomed their baby boy, Shai. "This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us," the couple shared at the time (per Us Weekly). The couple tied the knot in July 2017 in Long Island, New York with many DWTS stars in attendance.

In January 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child. "It brings me immense joy to finally announce that @maksimc and I are expecting our Chmerkovskiy #2. After 2 years of constant struggle and heartache, 3 miscarriages, and a failed embryo transfer ... we have a healthy bun in the oven :)) It was a shock to all of us and we found out right before I was going in for my second round of IVF," she wrote on Instagram captioning a picture showing off her baby bump.

Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev's love story started when they first met on the dance competition show in 2017. The couple who got paired on season 25 of "Dancing With The Stars" got eliminated during week seven. At the time, Bella was engaged to John Cena. Bella and Chigvintsev reconnected in January 2019 following her separation from Cena in 2018. The couple's first date was at a farmer's market. "They have a strong attraction to each other, but they're just having fun. They're both extremely busy with their own careers, so they spend time together when they can," a source told People in January 2019. In March 2019, the former WWE star took to Instagram to confirm that the couple is dating. Later she clarified with People that she meant that as a casual post and that she was "not fully taken" by the Russian dancer.

The couple made their red carpet debut as a couple in July 2019. "Artem's aura and energy, he's so calming and relaxing," Bella shared at the event. "I'm like the Tasmanian devil, I need someone with his energy to make me stop and be present." Talking to People, Chignvintsev said that Bella was the exact opposite of him, "What I'm missing in my life, she fulfills." After postponing their wedding multiple times, the couple finally tied the knot in August 2022.

Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson

Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson crossed paths when Johnson joined the dance competition show as a troupe dancer in 2014. While we are unsure when they exactly started dating, the couple went public with their relationship in February 2016. After a few ups, downs, and public appearances the couple made headlines when they shared an onstage kiss in season 25 of "Dancing With The Stars" for which Johnson had returned as a troupe member. "Jenna is a huge asset to the show," Chmerkovskiy had told reporters about his partner's return to the show. "I think she's an incredible talent. I'm a huge fan. Before joining DWTS, the "Shark Tank" star had just gone through a divorce. Even though the couple got eliminated during the eighth week of the competition, it was hardly the end for them.

The couple got engaged in February 2016 and tied the knot shortly after in July 2016. "I never thought I'd get married again," Herjavec shared with People right after the couple exchanged their vows. Karagach and Pashkobv met way back in 2009 when they both looking for dance partners and were introduced to each other by their coaches. Initially, Pashkov was against the idea of partnering with Karagach as he was concerned with their age difference of more than six years. This season was quite the lucky season for Hough as he not only found his future wife but also took the trophy home along with his celebrity partner Bindi Irwin. While Hough had made subtle hints that he was taken during his television appearances, it was not until May 2017 that the couple publicly confirmed their relationship.

In September 2020, during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Hough shared that the pandemic and the experience of being quarantined together had brought the couple closer. "We came together, we got closer," he said. "We grew as a couple tremendously. We even started a YouTube channel together, cooking" (via People).
