Prince Harry Reveals What Color Baby Archie's Hair Really Is

Prince Harry and singer Ed Sheeran may be Britain's most famous redheads, but they're about to be joined by a third. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have confirmed what eagle-eyed fans might have already spotted: that baby Archie has inherited his father's flaming red hair.

The information slipped out during a conversation between Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex, and mother-daughter duo Angela and Milly Sutherland, who asked during a royal engagement if Archie had red hair like his dad. Angela recalled, "Meghan said he has and Harry said he definitely is, you can see it in his eyebrows" (via People).

This isn't the first time someone has commented on Archie's red hair. A source also recently told People that Archie "is a happy baby. He has lovely, puffy little legs and tufts of reddish hair. He's really adorable." In fact, on the royal couple's recent trip to Africa, fans couldn't get over just how much Archie resembled Prince Harry

Baby Archie and Prince Harry are a rarity

Meghan Markle also told Angela and Milly Sutherland that she had just taken Archie to his first playgroup, which took place a few hours before the public appearance. Angela explained, "[Meghan] took him to one of those baby classes today and she said they had loads of fun together. She said it was really good fun." It turns out the playgroup was also an opportunity for the Duchess of Sussex to benchmark Harry's growth against other babies of his age. Angela continued, "Harry said [Archie] had no hair for five months, but Meghan told him she had taken [Archie] to the playgroup and said there were other children there with the same amount of air or even less" (via Hello).

Baby Archie's red hair makes him pretty special, as this trait is fairly rare. According to Cosmopolitan, less than 2 percent of the world's population are redheads. Prince Harry and his son are in quite an exclusive club.
