Can You Buy The Homes From HGTV's Rock The Block?

HGTV's new competition series Rock The Block has been switching up the home improvement channel's game — and we haven't been able to get enough of it. The show features a different side to some of our home renovation faves, and we would be lying if we said the show wasn't causing us stress dreams about not being able to finish a home remodeling project under budget and on time.

But stress dreams aside, here's the real question — what happens to the beautiful houses the four women finish once the season wraps? Can you actually buy the homes from HGTV's Rock the Block? As it turns out, yes you can.

The houses on Rock the Block are located in Santa Clarita, California

The shows four designers, Good Bones' Mina Starsiak Hawk, Hidden Potential's Jasmine Roth, Restored by the Fords' Leanne Ford, and Windy City Rehab's Alison Victoria are all revamping these homes in Santa Clarita, California. The show began production in July of this year, and all four women were given identical houses to redesign with a total budget of $175,000, according to House Beautiful.

Each property is 2,530 square feet, and the renovators have to include spaces such as a master suite, kitchen, and an outdoor living space. At the end of each week, a guest star from HGTV will judge the progress and crown a winner for that episode (via Deadline). The ultimate winner of the series will get a street named after her (and well-deserved bragging rights). What's even better, HGTV will be donating 100,000 meals to the Turn Up! Fight Hunger initiative.

In an exclusive interview with Parade, Ford notes that this competition is based on appraisal value, so the judges subjectivity won't really matter at the end of the series. "But as I designed the house, I chose to ignore the concept of appraisal value. I just wanted to go more for an emotional value. Because at the end of the day, there's only one family that needs to find and love this house, and that one person is who I was designing for."

Here's how you can buy one of the Rock the Block houses

If you think that you'll be the family that loves the Ford-designed house as much as she does, then you're in luck — once the series ends, there will be an official opportunity for people to purchase the four Rock the Block houses. Pardee Homes will host a Rockin' Reveal Party on Saturday, November 16 in Aliento, California.

The event, according to Pardee Homes' official website, will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Potential buyers and fans of the hit show can take tours of the newly-renovated homes, enjoy snacks and live entertainment, and have a chance to purchase one of the four homes. In order to attend, though, you need to RSVP on their website.
