Pat Sajak's Daughter Grew Up To Be Gorgeous

Pat Sajak is a legend. A TV mainstay for decades, he's been hosting Wheel of Fortune since 1983 — and Pat Sajak has the net worth to show for it. While fans are familiar with his name, there's another Sajak who has made waves in the entertainment industry: his daughter, Maggie Sajak.

But who is Maggie Sajak? According to Cheat Sheet, Maggie Marie Sajak was born on January 5,1995 to Pat Sajak and his second wife, Lesly Sajak. She has an older brother, Patrick Michael James Sajak, who was born on September 22, 1990. Maggie Sajak has grown into a beautiful and talented young woman who is making her own mark on the world.

Maggie Sajak is a talented country singer

In 2011, Maggie Sajak released what appears to be her debut single, "First Kiss." The music video, which is on YouTube, was followed up by "Wild Boy" and "Live Out Loud" in 2013. Sajak used her talents for a good cause — according to the YouTube description for "Live Out Loud," the song was a collaboration with the charity Music is Medicine.

"This song is inspired by the beautiful and brave Muriel Walters, a cancer patient at Johns Hopkins," wrote Sajak. "I met Muriel through Music is Medicine, a wonderful charity which pairs pediatric cancer patients with artists who then 'Donate a Song' inspired by the patient. I was lucky enough to get to hang out with Muriel and get to know her, and see what kind of song she would like. She told me about all of her big dreams and aspirations and about how much she wants to inspire others. I hope this song and video can be one way her story can inspire the world. Her positive outlook led my friend Michael Lord and me to co-write Live Out Loud, a song about living life to the fullest, no matter what. Muriel is living out loud, and so should we."

According to Sajak, she fell in love with music at a young age. "When I was seven or eight, I used to play this mini acoustic guitar my grandparents gave me," she told Teen Vogue in 2013. "Then for my 13th birthday, they gave me my first real guitar, and I haven't stopped playing since. I immediately loved the ability to accompany myself and create music all on my own."

Maggie Sajak was pre-med

As of 2013, Sajak was a pre-med student at Princeton. In a 2013 interview with CMT News, she talked about what she wants to pursue, saying that she loves both medicine and music. "Neither one — medicine or country music — is my fall-back plan," she said. "I just love them both, so I will keep doing both and see where that takes me. I probably won't go straight to medical school. I want to be able to focus on my music for a while."

She added, "I've always wanted to be a singer. But I also always dreamed of being a doctor, and Princeton was my dream school. So I thought I'd lay the ground work for med school while I'm in college."

Maggie Sajak's parents were a major influence

Sajak also said that her famous father inspired her love for performance. "I loved being around the set with him," she said. "I've learned a lot watching him. And even though music is different than a game show, there are a lot of similarities."

Pat Sajak also has experience in the country music industry, having worked as a DJ at a Nashville country station in the 1970s. "Since I was little, my parents listened to a lot of country," said Sajak. "My dad lived in Nashville for a while, and he appreciates older country. And my mom loves Faith Hill and Martina McBride. I appreciate the older music, and new artists like Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood. But I really love the folk singer-songwriters as well. All of that has shaped the kind of music I'm making now."

Is Maggie Sajak on social media?

Aside from Pat, who has an active Twitter page, most of the Sajaks are pretty quiet on social media. Maggie Sajak appeared in a 2016 YouTube makeup tutorial by makeup artist by Billy B, but her own YouTube account hasn't seen a new upload since 2013. In 2018, she appeared on the Instagram account for Glam4Good which, according to their website, "is an organization, community and movement that ignites positive social change through style."

Maggie Sajak's personal website is still active, although it hasn't been updated in a long time. In December 2019, an unverified Instagram account appearing to belong Sajak began to post pictures.

Pat Sajak's daughter came back into the limelight to help her dad

Maggie Sajak has kept a pretty low profile, but this could be partially explained by the fact that she's been busy with school. The Oprah Magazine reported that, according to Princeton University's alumni directory, she graduated from the school in 2016 with a degree in history.

In January 2020, Sajak returned to the spotlight to help out her dad when he took a week off from his Wheel of Fortune hosting duties. "So, you're gonna see [letter turner] Vanna [White] doing her Pat impression here; she does a great job," said the game show host in a video teaser posted on YouTube. "And we have a special letter-toucher, so pay attention."

Sajak touched the letters for White as she filled in for the longtime host. This wasn't the first time Sajak appeared on Wheel of Fortune. Her dad brought her on to the show in 1996, when she was just 1 year old. "It's even more fun," Sajak said of her return to the show. "I'm walking a little better now, and hopefully I'm a little more eloquent than last time!"
