Karoline Leavitt's Overdone Makeup Has Her Looking Almost As Old As Her Husband

Karoline Leavitt has a penchant for dressing way older than she is, and now it seems that she's doing her makeup to match. In her latest press briefing, the press secretary's makeup was looking much too old for her 27 years. And, let's just say, it's making her major age gap with her 59-year-old husband look a little less major. 

Leavitt has fallen victim to the "Republican makeup" cliché on several occasions, and it's clear that it happened again at her June 11 press briefing. Leavitt's try-hard pout, which many already think is a case of overdone fillers, was overlined to a far-too visible degree, making it look like she'd just finished eating a cherry popsicle. Her mascara was clumping together, making it look like she had just a few cartoonish eyelashes. And, her complexion looked a bit light and flat — without enough contouring to make her features pop. Not only did this overly heavy makeup totally fit with the Republican makeup stereotype, but it made her look much older than she actually is.  

This particularly bad makeup day comes just a week after Karoline Leavitt's true age ignited a brutal internet war that had people ripping her to shreds. And, seeing the press secretary looking like this, it's easy to see why many netizens thought she was at least a decade older than she really is. It's also easy to see why so many of said netizens have been poking fun at her makeup preferences on X, formerly known as Twitter. "She needs to cool it with all that lying and all that makeup," one X user recently said. Another jabbed at her cosmetics routine, tweeting a photo of her looking shocked and writing, "That moment Karoline Leavitt realized her boss's tariffs may affect L'Oreal products, mascara and lip gloss."

Since she became the youngest White House press secretary in history, Leavitt has made it fairly clear that she doesn't like when her age gap marriage is put on blast. Luckily for her, the older she makes herself look, the less obvious that age gap will seem. Still, it comes at a bit of a cost, considering the fact that so many people were surprised to hear she was still in her 20s. And, that's not something most 20-somethings would be too happy about.
