Details About Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne's Final Weeks Together Before His Tragic Death

On July 22, 2025, legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76, less than three weeks after his farewell concert with Black Sabbath. Following Ozzy's death, numerous celebrities from the music world and beyond, not to mention countless fans all over the world, paid tribute to the musician and his heavy metal legacy. However, arguably no one was more devastated than Ozzy's wife, Sharon Osbourne. After all, the two had been through a lot together, nearly getting a divorce at one point but having somehow found a way to make things work right up to the end. A documentary released shortly after Ozzy's passing reveals the details of his and Sharon's final weeks together.

There were actually two high-profile documentaries produced in the wake of Ozzy's death. One, titled "Ozzy: No Escape From Now," premiered on Paramount Plus in October 2025. The other, titled "Sharon and Ozzy: Coming Home," was originally supposed to premiere on BBC One in August 2025, but was delayed at the last minute. It ended up dropping in October as well. As its title implies, the BBC doc centers around Ozzy and Sharon leaving the United States and moving back to their native England around March 2025, mere months before Ozzy's passing.

The move was something the two had planned on doing for years, but sadly, retirement came a little too late. "I always, always told Ozzy, 'When you turn 70, we say goodbye. It's enough,”' she said in the doc (via the International Business Times). By the time Ozzy played his final show in July, his health had deteriorated to the point that he had to be seated for the performance. "I had to sit there instead of running across the stage. That was f***ing torture," he confessed in the film.

Why Ozzy Osbourne didn't want to think about Sharon during his final show

Ozzy Osbourne's final public performance was obviously an emotional moment for all involved, made even more so by the fact that the "Crazy Train" singer passed away so soon after leaving the stage for the last time. However, Ozzy confessed in the aforementioned Paramount Plus documentary, "Ozzy: No Escape From Now," that if there's one person he didn't want to think about during the concert, it was Sharon Osbourne. But why wouldn't he want his wife of more than 40 years on his mind at the culmination of his career? Well, according to Ozzy himself, it would have made it too emotional for him to keep his composure.

"I'm nervous. It's my last hurrah, so it's gonna be pretty emotional for me up there. I just hope I don't think of Sharon when I'm up there, 'cause then the f***ing tears will start coming," Ozzy shared in the Paramount doc (via People), adding, "We've done a lot of miles together, me and my old girl." That being said, he did apparently make it a point to clue Sharon in regarding how he was feeling ahead of the show. "He said to me the other night, 'I think I'm gonna cry on the last show,' and I said, 'Of course you are. I think there's gonna be a lot of tears from a lot of people,'" Sharon said of her own experience leading up to the big day. Elsewhere in the doc, Ozzy noted that, had it not been for Sharon, he likely would have died much sooner, as he credits her with helping him stay sober in his later years.
