Chicago Fire Star Taylor Kinney's Real-Life Wife Is Absolutely Stunning

Since 2012, actor and model Taylor Kinney has starred as Captain (formerly Lieutenant) Kelly Severide on "Chicago Fire." In that time, the character has been married not once, but twice. Captain Severide was previously wed to graphic designer Brittany Baker, played by Serinda Swan. After that marriage ended in divorce, Severide tied the knot with Miranda Rae Mayo's Stella Kidd, a fellow firefighter. Of course, like many of his "Chicago Fire" co-stars, Kinney is also married in real life. What's more, his wife is absolutely stunning.

Kinney married fellow model Ashley Cruger in May 2024 after two years of dating. At the time, a representative for the couple told People that they exchanged vows "in a small, private ceremony in Chicago" — naturally. The photo above was taken rather early in Kinney and Cruger's relationship, in June 2022, when the pair attended the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco together. Cruger, in particular, made no secret of her model status at the event, sporting a black minidress with stylish cutouts. Beyond their occasional public appearances together, however, Kinney and Cruger tend to keep their romance out of the spotlight.

Of course, Taylor Kinney's wife, Ashley Cruger, is hardly the first bombshell the "Chicago Fire" star has been in a serious relationship with. Something you may not know about Kinney is that he was actually once engaged to be married to none other than Lady Gaga (whose real name is Stefani Germanotta). However, the actor's romance with the "Alejandro" hitmaker decidedly had its ups and downs, and the pair ultimately called off their engagement in the summer of 2016 — a little more than a year after Kinney popped the question.

Interestingly enough, not too long before he initially proposed to Lady Gaga, Kinney opened up on his thoughts about marriage in general during an April 2014 interview with E! News. When asked if he believed in monogamy, the actor replied, "I think so." Kinney continued, "My grandparents have been together for 50 some odd years. I know a lot of happy marriages." Little did he know, Kinney would indeed make it to the altar — just not with the person he initially planned on doing so with.

Given how happy Kinney and Cruger look together, though, it seems like everything worked out in the end. More than that, considering the fact that the "Chicago Fire" star clearly values his privacy as far as his marriage is concerned, it's easy to see why things may not have worked out between him and someone as unfathomably high-profile as Lady Gaga. Cruger, after all, doesn't even have a public Instagram profile. And while Kinney has offered glimpses of their romance on his own feed in the past, he hasn't done so in quite a while at the time of writing, and their red carpet appearances remain rare.
