The Best Hallmark Channel Halloween Movies Of All Time, Ranked By Reviews
It's hardly a secret that the Hallmark Channel loves a holiday movie or two (or a couple hundred). That being said, it's Christmas movies that are very much the network's bread and butter. Mind you, Hallmark does have a dedicated lineup of fall-themed releases every year too. In fact, we recently ranked the first five "Fall Into Love" movies of 2026 by audience reviews. However, dedicated Hallmark Halloween movies, or even explicitly Halloween-adjacent ones, are surprisingly few and far between — but they are out there. For example, at the time of writing, we're eagerly awaiting the October 10 premiere of "The Spirit of Halloween," which is set to conclude the "Fall Into Love" lineup before Hallmark rolls into its 2026 "Countdown to Christmas" slate about a week later.
It's no wonder there are so few Hallmark Halloween movies when the network kicks off its Christmas celebrations in mid-October. Funnily enough, "The Spirit of Halloween" puts a spooky twist on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," centering on a Halloween-hating woman played by Meghan Ory who learns to love All Hallows' Eve (and, apparently, a man played by model-turned-Hallmark-staple Kevin McGarry) after being visited by three ghosts. But whether you need more Hallmark Halloween goodness to tide you over until "The Spirit of Halloween," or you want to keep the spooky times rolling after it does, we've got you covered. We've compiled a quick list of the 10 best Hallmark Halloween (and Halloween-adjacent) movies of all time, ranked by audience reviews.
10. Oliver's Ghost
One of Hallmark's earliest Halloween-themed movies, "Oliver's Ghost," takes place during the fall season. It premiered in late October 2011, and centers on a boy who befriends the ghost haunting his new house. The actual holiday material is limited, but there are scenes of jack-o'-lantern carving and trick-or-treating, so we reckon it qualifies for this list. As for what audiences thought about it upon release, reception was generally positive but also pretty split. On IMDb, the film currently holds a weighted average rating of 5.9/10, an unweighted average rating of 6.5/10, and a most common individual rating of 10/10.
9. Haul Out the Halloween
Premiering in October 2025, "Haul Out the Halloween" could be viewed as Hallmark utilizing a fictional story to both acknowledge and challenge its own reputation as overly Christmas-focused. The film follows a Halloween-loving couple who decide to inspire change after moving to a neighborhood that has historically been all-in on Christmas but fairly apathetic about spooky season. Audience reviews on IMDb are consistently average-to-positive. "Haul Out the Halloween" holds a weighted average score of 6/10, an unweighted average score of 6.3/10, and a most common individual rating of 6/10.
8. Midnight Masquerade
Have you ever wondered what a live-action, gender-swapped remake of "Cinderella" would look like if it took place at a Halloween costume ball and was centered around a massive corporate lawsuit? Well, you don't have to wonder, because that pretty much describes the 2014 Hallmark rom-com "Midnight Masquerade." Much like "Haul Out the Halloween," this film was met with a mixed-to-positive reception. "Midnight Masquerade's" weighted user average rating on IMDb currently sits at 6.3/10. Meanwhile, its unweighted average rating is 6.5/10, while the most common individual rating is 6/10.
7. Haunted Wedding
Another movie that falls more on the "Halloween-adjacent" end of the spectrum, "Haunted Wedding" premiered on the Hallmark Channel in October 2024. The movie follows a pair of ghost hunters named Brian and Jana, who, staying true to their brand, decide to tie the knot at a haunted hotel. However, things take a turn when one of the ghosts haunting the property thinks Brian is actually her fiancé. The film currently holds a weighted average user rating of 6.3/10 on IMDb, as well as an unweighted average rating of 6.3/10 and a most common individual rating of 7/10.
6. October Kiss
It's a tale as old as time: A wealthy widower hires a nanny to help take care of his kids and they end up falling in love. There was an entire '90s sitcom with that premise, after all. However, the 2015 Hallmark movie "October Kiss" adds a distinctly Halloween flavor to the story of "The Nanny" — and you don't even have to wait five seasons for the couple to get together this time! As of this writing, the weighted average user rating of "October Kiss" on IMDb is 6.6/10. Its unweighted average rating and most common individual rating sit at 6.8/10 and 7/10, respectively.
5. 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost
"3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost" may be another Hallmark movie that leans more "Halloween-adjacent" than anything, but it apparently did so rather effectively, given that the TV movie managed to impress audiences a lot more than many of the network's spookier offerings upon its October 2023 debut. The film, which centers on a flapper-era ghost who makes it her mission to get the real estate agent selling her old home back together with her ex, has a weighted average user rating of 7.1/10 on IMDb. Its unweighted average rating is 7.4/10, while its most common individual rating is 7/10.
4. Good Witch: Spellbound
2017's "Good Witch: Spellbound" is the 10th entry in Hallmark's beloved series of "Good Witch" feature films, and the second to include an explicitly Halloween-themed plot. This entry follows the series' magical protagonist, Cassie, and her husband, Sam, as they try to save their hometown of Middleton from falling victim to an ancient, evil curse as All Hallows' Eve draws near. On IMDb, "Spellbound" has a weighted average user rating of 7.4/10, an unweighted average rating of 7.7/10, and, to cap things off strong, a most common individual rating of 8/10.
3. Good Witch: Curse From a Rose
The 12th and final feature-length "Good Witch" story came in the form of a fourth Halloween movie, entitled "Good Witch: Curse From a Rose" (do you think whoever came up with that was a fan of Seal?) in 2019. In this installment, Middleton's Halloween celebrations are once again threatened when Cassie's old roommate Autumn arrives to wreak havoc on the town. "Curse From a Rose" proved to be a slight step up from "Spellbound" in the eyes of viewers. It has a weighted average of 7.4/10, an unweighted average of 7.8/10, and a most common individual rating of 8/10 on IMDb. Its second most common rating is 7/10. That'll be important in a second.
2. Good Witch: Tale of Two Hearts
"Good Witch: Tale of Two Hearts" hit the Hallmark Channel in October 2018, sandwiched in between "Spellbound" and "Curse From a Rose." The third "Good Witch" Halloween feature offers a story that is half competitive fall drama, half whodunnit. Interestingly, "Tale of Two Hearts" has the exact same weighted average, unweighted average, and most common rating on IMDb as "Curse From a Rose" — 7.4/10, 7.8/10, and 8/10, respectively. However, with a second most common rating of 10/10, "Tale of Two Hearts" narrowly secures our number two spot. At this point, you may be noticing a theme.
1. Good Witch Halloween
As its title implies, 2015's "Good Witch Halloween," the eighth overall "Good Witch" film was also the first to go full Halloween with its theming. Not only that, but it has endured as both the most beloved "Good Witch" Halloween story, and arguably the best Hallmark Halloween movie, period. As of this writing, "Good Witch Halloween" has a weighted average user score of 7.6/10 on IMDb. It also currently holds an unweighted average score of 8/10, and a most common individual rating of 10/10. Even better, Hallmark made the film free to watch in its entirety on YouTube in September 2026.
