All Of Tyler Hynes' Hallmark Channel Movies (So Far), Ranked By Reviews

Tyler Hynes has firmly established himself as one of the defining Hallmark Channel stars of the 2020s. As of October 2026, Hynes has starred in no fewer than 25 Hallmark original movies, with a 26th, "The Nights Before Christmas," a "Groundhog Day"-esque affair, releasing as part of the network's anticipated "Countdown to Christmas" lineup this November. Hynes made his Hallmark debut back in 2018 with "Falling for You." Before becoming a Hallmark star, Hynes was a child actor. His acting chops have come in handy as he's averaged about three movies a year since his journey with the holiday brand started. Talk about dedication. As the actor himself said during a 2026 Q&A on Hallmark's website, "I have a deep respect and admiration for this audience, and I'm always interested in finding ways to be of service to them."

Of course, with that kind of output, some of Hynes' Hallmark flicks are bound to be better than others. Still, there's clearly a reason the network's fans have continued to find Hynes so enchanting. With that in mind, we decided to look back at Hynes' entire Hallmark résumé at the time of writing, and figure out which of his movies stand out as the very best of the best among audiences. So, without further ado, here are all of Tyler Hynes' Hallmark Channel movies (so far), ranked by reviews.

2023's "Never Been Chris'd" stars Tyler Hynes as a man by the name of Chris Silver. He finds himself at the center of a messy love triangle after two of his former high school classmates return home for the holidays. On IMDb, the film currently holds a weighted average rating of 5.5/10, an unweighted average rating of 5.5/10, and a most common individual rating of 6/10, placing it firmly at the bottom of Hynes' Hallmark catalog as far as the site's users are concerned.

In 2024, Hallmark put out the "Groomsmen" trilogy, a series of three films about a trio of best friends, with each entry taking place during one of their weddings. The first installment, fittingly titled "The Groomsmen: First Look," finds Tyler Hynes' Jackson as one of the titular groomsmen attending the wedding of Pete, played by B. J. Britt. As it stands, "First Look" has a weighted average user rating of 6.1/10 on IMDb. It also holds an unweighted average user rating of 6.1/10, and a most common individual rating of 6/10.

Not to be confused with the Tim Allen and Kat Dennings-led sitcom of the same name that premiered just one year later, 2024's "Shifting Gears" stars Katherine Barrell as Jess, a mechanic who ends up on a reality competition show pitting her against her ex-boyfriend, Luke. Luke is played by — you guessed it — Tyler Hynes. On IMDb, the movie's weighted user average sits at 6.3/10 as of this writing. Meanwhile, its unweighted average rating is also 6.3/10, while its most common individual rating is 6/10.

One of Tyler Hynes' earlier Hallmark movies, "My Boyfriend's Back: Wedding March 5," debuted back in 2019. The film centers on rookie wedding planner Annalise, who is shocked to discover that the best man at her first wedding is none other than her ex-boyfriend, Brad, played by Hynes. On IMDb, the film holds a weighted average user rating of 6.3/10, an unweighted average user rating of 6.5/10, and a most common individual rating of 6/10. Don't worry — the 7/10s are coming up soon.

We now return to the "Groomsmen" trilogy for "The Groomsmen: Second Chances," the cleverly titled second and penultimate entry. In "Second Chances," Tyler Hynes' Jackson once again plays a supporting role, this time helping close friend Danny, played by Jonathan Bennett, on his own romantic journey. Evidently, audiences found this movie to be a slight step up from "The Groomsmen: First Look." On IMDb, "Second Chances" currently has a weighted average user rating of 6.1/10, an unweighted average user rating of 6.4/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

The second Hallmark Christmas movie on this list so far, 2019's "The Mistletoe Secret," stars Kellie Pickler as Aria, who tries to give her hometown's tourism industry a shot in the arm by inviting a famous travel writer. But things take a turn when she ends up falling head over heels for his ghostwriter, Alex, played by Tyler Hynes. The movie currently has a weighted average user rating of 6.3/10 on IMDb. Its unweighted average user rating is slightly higher at 6.5/10, while its most common individual rating is 7/10.

Are you ready for some football? Another Christmas-themed release, "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story" premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2024. In this marriage of Hallmark and the NFL, Tyler Hynes stars as Derrick, a member of the Kansas City Chiefs' front office who starts to fall for superfan Alana, played by Hunter King, while judging a fan contest. On IMDb, however, the film isn't quite doing Super Bowl numbers. It currently holds a weighted average user rating of 6.4/10, an unweighted average user rating of 6.5/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

Speaking of worlds colliding, 2019's "Flip That Romance" can best be described as "Hallmark meets HGTV." The movie follows Jules and Lance, respectively portrayed by Julie Gonzalo and Tyler Hynes, a pair of rival house flippers and ex-lovers who find themselves falling for each other all over again while competing to renovate opposite sides of a duplex. (Yeah, we're sensing a pattern with some of these, too.) On IMDb, "Flip That Romance" has a weighted average user rating of 6.5/10. Its unweighted average user rating is 6.7/10, while its most common individual rating is 7/10.

Do not adjust your set — that is, in fact, a clean-shaven Tyler Hynes you're looking at. 2018's "Falling for You" not only marked Hynes' Hallmark debut, but also now stands as a time capsule of an era before his beard was a staple of his look. The film itself is all about a workaholic, big-city businessman, played by Hynes, who gets a taste for small-town life (literally) after a local radio station manager, played by Taylor Cole, convinces him to compete in a baking competition. As of writing, "Falling for You" holds a weighted average user rating of 6.6/10 on IMDb. Meanwhile, its unweighted average user rating sits at 6.9/10. Most users who reviewed the film gave it a 7/10.

Tyler Hynes' first-ever Hallmark movie was quickly followed up by his first Hallmark Christmas movie: 2018's "It's Christmas, Eve." In this one, Hynes (who is once again clean-shaven) stars as a music teacher named Liam, who tries to save his school's arts program while also falling in love with the interim superintendent (played by LeAnn Rimes) who is threatening to cut it. As far as audiences are concerned, "It's Christmas, Eve" comes in neck-and-neck with "Falling for You." Like that film, this one holds a weighted average user rating of 6.6/10, an unweighted average user rating of 6.9/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10 on IMDb.

2025 saw the release of "Three Wisest Men," the third and final entry in Hallmark's "Three Wise Men" trilogy starring Tyler Hynes, Paul Campbell, and Andrew Walker. In this trilogy capper, the three Brenner brothers come together for one last Christmas at their childhood home after their mother puts it up for sale. On IMDb, the film's weighted average user rating is currently 6.7/10, while its unweighted average user rating is 6.8/10 and its most common individual rating is 7/10.

Releasing in 2023, "A Picture of Her" stars Tyler Hynes as Jake, a photographer who snaps a picture of a woman named Beth, played by Rhiannon Fish, which goes on to become a famous magazine cover. In trying to track down Jake, Beth ends up finding something more. At the time of writing, the film holds a weighted average user rating of 6.7/10 on IMDb. Its unweighted average user rating sits at 7/10, while its most common individual rating is also 7/10.

2022's "Always Amore" centers on Autumn Reeser's Elizabeth, a widow struggling to save her late husband's restaurant. At the end of her rope, Elizabeth hires a consultant named Ben, played by Tyler Hynes, to help. Both get more than they bargained for when they realize their feelings for one another aren't strictly professional. On IMDb, the film holds a weighted average user rating of 6.8/10, an unweighted average user rating of 7/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

2025's "Christmas Above the Clouds" is yet another Hallmark movie about a character played by Tyler Hynes unexpectedly reuniting with an ex. This one, however, also offers a unique riff on "A Christmas Carol." "Christmas Above the Clouds" stars Erin Krakow as the not-so-subtly named Ella Neezer, who boards a plane to the other side of the world in order to escape the Christmas festivities back home. However, she has a change of heart after encountering both her ex-boyfriend, Jake, played by Hynes, and a trio of Christmas spirits. On IMDb, the film's weighted average user rating and unweighted average user rating both sit at 6.9/10. Its most common individual rating, meanwhile, is 7/10.

The third and final entry in the 2024 "Groomsmen" trilogy, "The Groomsmen: Last Dance," finally places Tyler Hynes' Jackson front and center. Joined once again by B. J. Britt's Pete and Jonathan Bennett's Danny, Jackson moves to Italy to be closer to his daughter, whom he shares with his ex-wife. And though he insists he has no intention of getting married again, he does ultimately find a new love in a local cafe owner. This trilogy capper is also the best-reviewed film in the "Groomsmen" series, in addition to being neck-and-neck with "Christmas Above the Clouds." It currently holds a weighted average user score of 6.9/10, an unweighted average user score of 6.9/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10 on IMDb.

Premiering back in 2021, "Roadhouse Romance" stars Tyler Hynes as Luke, a TV director who helps country music fan Callie, played by Lauren Alaina, turn over a new leaf as she grapples with the fact that the once-popular country venue and barbecue restaurant her late grandfather owned has become a shell of its former self. On IMDb, the film's weighted average user rating sits at 6.8/10, while its unweighted average user rating is 7.2/10. Most users who reviewed the film gave it a 7/10.

Alexa, queue up some Neil Diamond, because it's time to talk about "Sweet Carolina." This 2021 Hallmark feature stars Lacey Chabert as Josie, who returns to her hometown after the unexpected death of her sister, only to learn she's been named the children's new guardian. Along the way, she also rekindles her romance with her high school boyfriend, Cooper, played by Tyler Hynes. The film holds a weighted average user rating of 6.9/10 on IMDb. It also holds an unweighted average user rating of 7.1/10, as well as a most common individual rating of 7/10.

Hallmark's "Three Wise Men" trilogy seems to be the inverse of the network's "Groomsmen" trilogy in that the quality diminished rather than improved with each entry in the eyes of fans. In both cases, though, the middle entry lands squarely in the middle. Once again starring Tyler Hynes alongside Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker, 2024's "Three Wiser Men and a Boy" centers on Walker's Luke Brenner as he takes over running his son's school Christmas play. Naturally, he conscripts his own two brothers along the way. On IMDb, the film is virtually tied with "Sweet Carolina," holding a weighted average user rating of 6.9/10, an unweighted average user rating of 7.1/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

Another Tyler Hynes movie where his character gets a second chance with an ex-girlfriend? It's more likely than you think! In 2021's "An Unexpected Christmas" (a once-again beardless), Hynes plays a speechwriter who agrees to pretend to be back together with his ex, played by Bethany Joy Lenz, in order to keep up appearances for her family around Christmastime. However, the two work themselves into a shootand end up catching feelings for real. The film's weighted average user score on IMDb currently sits at 6.9/10. Its unweighted average user rating is a bit higher at 7.2/10, while its most common individual rating is 7/10.

Much like 2021's "Sweet Carolina," 2020's "Winter in Vail" casts Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes as an on-screen couple. In the latter film, Chabert stars as a woman named Chelsea, who moves to the small mountain town of Vail after inheriting a house there. While getting accustomed to her new home, she starts to fall for a local by the name of Owen, played by Hynes. "Winter in Vail" is the first movie on this list to have a weighted average user rating of 7/10 on IMDb. Meanwhile, it has an unweighted average user rating of 7.4/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

2020's "On the 12th Date of Christmas" is a classic "opposites attract" story. The film stars Mallory Jansen and Tyler Hynes as a pair of drastically different game designers. They discover they actually have more in common than they realized when they're tasked with crafting a scavenger hunt together. On IMDb, it holds a weighted average user rating of 7.2/10, an unweighted average user rating of 7.4/10, and a most common individual rating of 7/10.

Releasing in 2026, "I'll Be Seeing You" stars Stacey Farber as a woman named Amy who takes a literal and figurative drive down memory lane with her grandmother. During their road trip, they meet a man by the name of Mark, played by Tyler Hynes, whom Amy starts to fall for. On IMDb, the film holds both a weighted average user rating and an unweighted average user rating of 7.1/10. However, with a most common individual rating of 8/10, it just pulls ahead of "On the 12th Date of Christmas."

The 2022 Tyler Hynes-led feature "Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas" is a Hallmark holiday movie with a mysterious edge. It follows a woman named Elizabeth, played by Holland Roden, who mistakenly receives a voicemail from a man trying to win back a lost love. (We'll leave it at that). The film holds a weighted average user rating of 7.4/10 on IMDb, as well as an unweighted average user rating of 7.7/10. Most users who reviewed the film gave it an 8/10.

2021's "It Was Always You" stars Erin Krakow as at least the third woman named Elizabeth to fall in love with a character played by Tyler Hynes on this list. The film follows Elizabeth as she reconnects with David, played by Hynes, who gives her a much-needed new perspective on life. The catch? David is her fiancé's brother. On IMDb, "It Was Always You" currently holds a weighted average user rating of 7.1/10. It also holds an unweighted average user rating of 7.5/10 and, impressively, a most common individual rating of 10/10.

The first Hallmark Christmas movie centering on the Brenner brothers, 2022's "Three Wise Men and a Baby" follows the trio as they, you guessed it, unexpectedly find themselves having to take care of a baby. If the IMDb reviews are to be believed, the film — which obviously riffs on the '80s comedy classic "Three Men and a Baby" — is not only the best entry in the trilogy it spawned, but also the best entry in Tyler Hynes' entire Hallmark catalog. At the time of writing, "Three Wise Men and a Baby" holds a weighted average user rating of 7.5/10, an unweighted average user rating of 7.8/10, and a most common individual rating of 10/10.
