Ranking Taylor Swift's Dresses As A Wedding Guest, From Fashion Flop To Absolutely Stunning

Having Taylor Swift as a guest at your wedding is a huge flex — and can also be a major distraction. Yes, people will think you are incredibly cool for getting one of the most famous pop stars in the world to come to your nuptials, but she may also inadvertently steal the show. In fact, some of her outfits have rivaled the bride's in terms of style, glam, and even color! On the other side of the coin, Swift has been the victim of some fashion flops while attending weddings as well. Her wedding guest style has had a huge range, whether she's just a guest or a bridesmaid, so we decided to rank them.

Just like Swift's date-night outfits with husband, Travis Kelce, her wedding guest style has had some huge misses and even bigger wins. She's attended famous friends' weddings, including Selena Gomez's wedding to Benny Blanco, where she was one of the best guest looks of the night. Swift has also been in attendance at the weddings of Kelce's friends and family members, weddings of her own childhood friends, and weddings of other celebrities over the years. From shamelessly breaking the cardinal wedding fashion rule to stepping out in stunning bridesmaid dresses, we ranked Swift's wedding guest style from worst to best.

When Taylor Swift attended the wedding of her backup singer, Eliotte Nicole, in April 2016, she wore white just like the bride. Her outfit left much to be desired, as it was simply a white shirtdress with no shape or design, other than two pockets in the front. Did she just roll out of bed on her way to the wedding? It would have been better had she put just 1% more effort into this rough-looking ensemble. At least the bride didn't seem to mind, as she smiled with Swift in photos on Instagram.

Even Taylor Swift couldn't pull off this atrocious bridesmaid dress at her childhood friend Abigail Anderson's wedding.

She was photographed at the ceremony in Martha's Vineyard in September 2017, dressed in a maroon bridesmaid dress as she carried the back of Anderson's gown. The floor-length gown had a loose, flowy skirt with a sweetheart neckline that perfectly matched Swift's blood-red lips. 

Taylor Swift seemingly committed a wedding guest fashion faux pas at the wedding of Electric Lady Studio owner, Lee Foster, and his model wife, Karen Elson. To the September 2024 event, Swift wore a cream-colored flower-print dress with side cut-outs, strappy cream heels, and a light blue clutch purse. It was pretty, but much too close to white for our comfort. Walking hand-in-hand with Travis Kelce, who was dressed all in black, these two could have been confused for the bride and groom.

When Lena Dunham and her husband, Luis Felber, said "I do" in September 2021, Taylor Swift was one of her bridesmaids. She wore a Christopher Kane-designed dress to Dunham's '60s-inspired wedding, which was a blinding metallic silver color with a pleated skirt (per Vogue).

In photos from the day, Swift resembled a shiny alien UFO, crash-landing into Dunham's wedding in an aluminum can. The only saving grace? Bridesmaids don't typically get their say in the dresses they wear, so it's unlikely Swift had anything to do with this questionable choice.

Este Haim got married to Jonathan Levin on New Year's Eve 2025, and Taylor Swift took it upon herself to dress up as the Times Square Ball. At least, that's what it looked like in photos, where Swift was seen in a dazzling gold dress, covered in sequins from the straps to the long hem.

The glittering gold gown stood out next to Stevie Nicks' all-black ensemble as they walked together in photos. If looking extra was part of the dress code, then Swift nailed it.

Taylor Swift channeled her inner mermaid at the May 2026 wedding of Travis Kelce's teammate George Karlaftis and his wife, Kaia Harris, in Greece. She wore a teal blue Zimmermann dress, with Reformation sandals, De Beers diamond earrings, and a Steven Battelle coin necklace. Her midi dress was very bridal-looking, with a lace overlay and skinny straps. It was prettier than some of her other wedding guest 'fits, but not a major standout.

The first time Taylor Swift served as a maid of honor was in 2016, at the wedding of her childhood best friend, Britany Maack, and her husband, Benjamin LaManna. Her Reem Acra bridesmaid dress was gorgeous, with a hand-embroidered gold bodice with delicate cap sleeves and a pale pink chiffon skirt that looked ethereal on her.

In a video of the wedding shared on YouTube, Swift looked so pretty in this gown as she honored her friend. It was a top five wedding look for sure.

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous at the wedding of Travis Kelce's cousin, Tanner Corum, and his wife, Samantha, in June 2025.

In photos of the day shared by Kelce's cousin, Ashton Corum, on Instagram, Swift looked beautiful in a strapless, sky-blue dress with a pretty pink floral print and wedge heels. It was chic and surprisingly simple, making it the perfect look for an outdoor summer wedding. Especially with the dainty, diamond gold necklace she wore with it.

Unlike the scene-stealing dress Taylor Swift wore at Este Haim's 2025 wedding, the singer wore a much more subtly glam gown at a wedding in Brooklyn in May 2026. This bronze-gold Maria Lucia Hohan silk dress flowed like water as Swift walked hand-in-hand with Travis Kelce.

The dress, which had a cut-out in the back, looked jaw-droppingly beautiful on Swift, paired with strappy heels and a clutch purse. Afterward, she still looked great when she donned Kelce's black blazer over her shoulders upon leaving the event.

When Taylor Swift attended Selena Gomez's September 2025 nuptials to Benny Blanco, she wore two gorgeous dresses. The first was a vintage-looking, champagne Oscar de la Renta gown covered in sequins and floral appliqués, and the second was a strapless blue Maticevski ballgown. Together, the two dresses cost a whopping $40,000, and her jewelry made the completed looks even pricier.

The first dress was feminine and sweet, and the dramatic navy-blue dress she changed into was perfect for the glamorous affair's evening activities. It's no surprise she saved one of her best wedding looks for her best friend!

Swift looked stunning in a lacy, light blue Erdem dress, with a corset-style top and a light blue ribbon tied around the waist. It featured a tiered, ruffled skirt with an asymmetrical hemline. Everything from the style to the fit was absolutely incredible, making this dress our fave!
