Selena Gomez Wedding Guest Looks, Ranked From Worst To Best

In 2025, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, and it sounded like something out of a dream. More specifically, one of the "Bluest Flame" singer's dreams. "We rented a palm tree farm and converted it ... we just wanted to do something unconventional, and ... [Selena] had a dream for a wedding since she was a kid," Blanco said on his "Friends Keep Secrets" podcast, whose co-host, Lil Dicky, officiated this eccentric wedding ceremony. "She's like, 'I want to walk down the aisle, and I want the aisle to be, like, Persian rugs off-center. I don't want normal flowers,'" he added. "'I don't want it to feel bougie.'"

Although the event was intended not to be as bougie as, say, the celeb stories we've heard from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, Gomez and Blanco certainly looked bougie. The former wore a floral lace Ralph Lauren dress, while the latter wore a three-piece tux from the same brand. Given that one half of this couple is a super-successful cosmetics businesswoman and No. 1 charting artist, and the other half is a podcaster and multiple No. 1 charting producer, there were a fair few bougily dressed celebs in attendance too. However, some stars dressed better than others.

So, between Finneas, many "Wizards of Waverly Place" stars, and the aforementioned Swift, let's get our Suzy Menkes (or, for younger readers, Haute Le Mode) on and rank them from worst to best.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding was one of the nuptials of the year (NOTY?), alongside Lauren Sanchez's marriage to Jeff Bezos and fellow pop star-producer couple Charli xcx and George Daniel tying the knot. So, you'd expect guests to turn out in their best 'fits for the occasion.

But at Gomez and Blanco's lavish union, the actor David DeLuise looked more like he was due in court than someone who'd RSVP'd to a wedding. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star wore a baby blue shirt and tie, with a dark bluish-purple jacket and pants. Although the look seems on theme with purple as the color of the day, going by other wedding guest looks, it's just a bit meh. Especially when you consider the purple-based looks of other attendees, like ​​Garrett Clayton (but more on him later).

"I'm just sitting here and still processing the last weekend being at Selena Gomez's wedding, how surreal for me," said DeLuise's wife Julia DeLuise (via People). "We danced so much, it was amazing," she added. "We danced like right next to Lizzo, and right next to all these other famous people." However, given her husband's pedestrian outfit, we can understand if she felt a little out of place.

An Instagram Story Finneas' social media star wife Claudia Sulewski posted revealed that he wore a black suit to Selena Gomez's wedding. It wasn't only David DeLuise. There was many a Disney star at Selena Gomez's wedding. But between DeLuise's look and Garrett Clayton's purple suit jacket, we gotta say, when it came to these ex-co-workers, the women resoundingly outdressed the men.

Conceptually, in Clayton's case, the look should have worked. Purple was a popular color among guests, and black was a strong shade to match with it. However, the execution of the outfit left a lot to be desired. Notably, the cut of the "Teen Beach Movie" star's blazer was too tight. "[W]hen a suit is too slim and short, it can look boyish," wrote men's fashion guru Derek Guy on X. [I]t's also harder to fit. [L]apels buckle from the chest, [S]leeveheads dent, [P]ants don't hang cleanly," he added. "[W]hen tailoring is fuller, it has more of a connection with the past and the ppl who made this style so great in the first place." This blazer is guilty on all counts. Moreover, the lighter purple of his waistcoat was not at all complementary to his darker-toned jacket. Not to mention that jacket's not-so-stylish slim lapels, which look even slimmer with a big brooch hanging off them.

Female ex-Disney stars, like Dove Cameron or even Gomez herself, are doing fantastic fashion-forward work. Heck, just take a look at Zendaya's most daring outfits. So come on guys, pull your sleeves up. Or, even better, take them to the tailors.

"In my princess dress for a night straight out of a fairytale," wrote Paris Hilton in the caption of an Instagram carousel showing off the outfit she wore to Selena Gomez's wedding. A princess dress it most certainly was. Hilton could've worn this baby blue look to any Disney-themed cosplay event because she was dressed exactly like Elsa from the beloved animation "Frozen."

"The best wedding guest outfits strike the perfect balance between looking polished and chic without looking over-the-top or out of kilter with the dress code," bridal brand owner Rosie Williams told Vogue. But Hilton's Elsa-coded dress, sadly, was far too over the top and made it look like she was trying to outshine the bride on her big day. Between the diamond-encrusted gown, long flowing cape, and sparkling silver choker, it's far more Met Gala than it is a marital ceremony. 

"[I] married a real life disney princess," wrote Benny Blanco in the caption of an Instagram post celebrating his wedding day. Sadly, thanks to Hilton, Gomez wasn't the only one dressed like cartoon royalty. Even if she really wanted to dress like a fairy-tale princess as a wedding guest, there's a way to do so subtly, which doesn't include posting a 20-picture slideshow of the outfit on social media.

Pop stars are used to having the spotlight on them and wearing some of the most glam garments ever sewn into existence. So, if a pop star isn't shining in a bold outfit, are they even pop starring at all? Well, SZA's look at Selena Gomez's wedding was befitting of a pop star, but it perhaps was slightly too bright and bold for the job of a wedding guest.

If there was a recurrent theme to the looks stars in attendance wore, it was dark earthy tones, blacks, or neutral colors. The Benny Blanco-produced songstress, on the other hand, donned bright red. "Tradition dictates guests avoid wearing red out of fear that it could take attention away from the happy couple," wedding planner ​​Denise Lillie O'Neal told Brides. "Visually, it's quite bold. In a photo, your eye is immediately drawn to the color, especially if it's next to neutrals like white, black, gray, or beige." Selena Gomez's "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star, Jennifer Stone, wore an improper-ish gown, in both cut and color, to her on- and off-screen friend's wedding. In case you're wondering, this is what happened to the rest of the "Wizards of Waverly Place" cast. Stone's dress featured a slit down one leg and a large torso-revealing cutout, with its rich magenta color feeling more party and less wedding. Indeed, as with many of the most inappropriate celebrity wedding guest dresses, there was a lot of skin on show.

"If you're going to do an open low back, maybe the neckline is higher. If you're going to do something short, maybe it's more conservative up top," the bridal styling expert Gabrielle Hurwitz told Brides. "Choose your moment to be revealing, rather than having everything out on display." However, on top and below, Stone was showing skin. But even if the look wasn't the most wedding-ready, it was still a good one. At least, that's what many fans thought. "That purple looks DIVINE on you," said one Instagram user commenting on Stone's post-wedding post. "Girl u look so good," added another Instagrammer.

At Selena Gomez's wedding, the actor Ashley Park wore a low-cut gown with layered fabric at the hem and floral detailing, including a subtle stitched-in choker around her neck. Impressively, the dress had the requisite amount of both demureness and fun a wedding guest look needs. 

As the aforementioned nuptials guru Gabrielle Hurwitz noted (via Brides), "If you're going to do a plunging neckline, the skirt should be longer." That's exactly what Park's 'fit did. The earthy, natural tone of the dress also meant the outfit had personality without stealing any spotlight. Paris Hilton, take note.

To make the look even more impressive, Park was acting in Alabama when Gomez tied the knot, and she still found time to look like an effortlessly cool wedding guest. "I think I was just really happy to see someone who deserves love find it in such a beautiful way," Gomez's "Only Murders in the Building" co-star told People. "I think we all just really wanted to just show up and cheer on and respect it." Well, this outfit is as respectful as wedding guest dresses come. 

Maiara Walsh wore one of the classiest and most classic dresses of all to Selena Gomez's wedding. That dress is ... the LBD. Or, for the uninitiated, the little black dress. It's a time-honored gown, and here's how Coco Chanel created the look.

Walsh's take on the timeless type of frock had a sparkling sheen, was low-cut, and featured feather-like details on its long, flowing skirt. You can also level up your LBD with accessories, just as the "Good Trouble" actor did by adding silver hooped earrings. Yet, wearing an LBD isn't a guaranteed best-dressed wedding guest list topper. The question to ask yourself, as per Cosmopolitan, is: Would I wear this to the club? If the answer is yes, it's probably best to leave it in the wardrobe. Thankfully, the Brazilian-American's look erred more on the side of wedding than nightclub due to the dress' long length.

"Memories for the books," commented Walsh on Jennifer Stone's Instagram dump from the wedding. Well, this dress is also one for the books in all the best ways.

Selena Gomez wore one of the best guest looks at Taylor Swift's wedding. We're glad, because the "Dress" singer had already done the same when the shoe was on the other foot (or the dress was on the other body?) a year earlier at Gomez's wedding. Heck, these two besties were basically twinning with their outfits at each other's weddings.

Both wore stunning Oscar de la Renta dresses, with Swift's specifically from the designer's Pre-Spring 2026 collection and featuring floral appliqués below a corset-y top half. But both gowns had a subtle metallic shine and were in the same kind of beige color. It's basically the pointing Spider-Man meme (wedding guest dress edition). To twin even further, the pair also wore almost identical outfits at each other's rehearsal dinners. "[O]h i love both of their outfits, they look insanely gorgeous," said one user on X. "Taylor's dress is one of the best dresses I've seen in my entire life," exclaimed a user on Reddit. "[I]t's enchanting, what a great choice!!!"

Swift didn't just dress well at the wedding, but she also made a tear-jerking speech. "She went into depth and talked about how over the years she saw Selena on the floor crying," a source revealed to Us Weekly. "[S]aying how happy she is that Selena has Benny now." The "Purple Hearts" actor, who followed in Gomez's footsteps on Disney, wore a long black tuxedo that ran down her thigh and featured big, wide lapels paired with tight black trousers and high heels. It's a style that suits the Brit, earning her a place among the best-dressed guests at Princess Eugenie's wedding. At that wedding, she wore Emporio Armani, but at Gomez's there's little known about which brand she donned, as all we have to go on is an Instagram Story from Ashley Park. One thing we do know for sure is that it's a fantastic look.

It also wasn't her first Gomez wedding ... sort of. "I thought I would be married by now, so I threw myself a wedding," said the "Bad Liar" singer to Rolling Stone back in 2022. "We had lovely drinks, and it was beautiful, and then my friend Cara [Delevingne] comes in and brings strippers." Well, we're glad Gomez eventually got around to having a proper wedding. If not, we wouldn't have got to see this top-tier tux from Delevingne.

"I'm so glad we decided to take this out of the drafts," said a user in the comments of a Nina Dobrev Instagram video, in which the actor showed off the outfit she donned to Selena Gomez's wedding. "[R]evenge dress baddie," said another commentator on another Instagram post of the look. We couldn't agree more, because this is one outfit that is far too good not to post, and the "Vampire Diaries" star, indeed, looked like a baddie. The revenge in question? Just take a look at Shaun White and Dobrev's relationship timeline from dating to engaged.

It's so good, in fact, that it tops our list of wedding guest looks from these nuptials. Indeed, Dobrev's strapless black dress, which featured an abstract horseshoe-shaped gold-lined décolletage, was truly the cream of the crop. The whole outfit is from a Los Angeles brand, Cult Gaia, and it costs a pretty penny. Just shy of $2,500, to be precise. It was worth every penny because, in revenge dress terms, this was a Princess Diana-level look.

Dobrev went to the wedding in a car with the aforementioned Cara Delevingne and Ashley Park. Gosh darn, there were more great outfits in that car than at Bergdorf Goodman. But we've gotta say, the native Bulgarian bested her British and Korean-American counterparts style-wise.
