Back in the '70s, "Land of the Lost" was a family favorite. Fans loved watching the Marshalls navigate the Land of the Lost amidst all the mysteries, dinosaurs, and, of course, Sleestaks. The adventuring family wouldn't have been the same without Holly Marshall, played by Kathy Coleman. Now, she's all grown up, and the actress has aged like fine wine.

Born on February 18, 1962, Coleman was just 12 years old when she debuted as Holly in "Land of the Lost" in 1974. She was 14 when the series ended, which means "Land of the Lost" fans witnessed a small snapshot of her growing up. It's always fun to see what our favorite child stars look like today. Now in her 60s, it's no surprise that she looks very different from how she did when she was exploring the Land of the Lost. Yet, some things haven't changed since then. While there is a growing number of celebs embracing going gray, Coleman has remained committed to the long blond locks and bangs she had as a child on our TV screens, and she's still rocking the look.

Kathy Coleman is still close with her former castmates

While Kathy Coleman is still rocking the blond hair, she's more likely to wear it loose instead of in two braids as she did on "Land of the Lost." It turns out that her braids weren't actually the idea of the costume department, but her mom's. "I think it took seven callbacks in total," she told Fox News about the audition process in a 2019 interview. She went on to reveal how her signature hairstyle came about. "I do remember going in wearing the same thing in every interview so they wouldn't forget me," she explained, noting, "It was my mother who came up with the checkered shirt and pants with desert boots and braids. So basically the way my mother sent me is the way they wound up designing the character for the entire show."

Coleman has taken on acting roles since her iconic time as Holly Marshall, but she's never forgotten her roots, even penning the memoir "Run, Holly, Run!" from the viewpoint of her iconic character. All these years later, fans still look back fondly on her time on "Land of the Lost," and the same is true for Coleman. Her famous outfit wasn't the series' only case of art imitating life. The cast's onscreen chemistry reflected their behind-the-scenes bond, too. Coleman called her relationship with the cast "amazing" and said they're still "as close as we can be." According to her, "It's like having a second family. When you're doing a show, you don't always expect to get along with everybody. But we got along famously."
