Crisp air, magical holidays, cozy evenings in — winter does not get enough credit. If you love winter, you probably also love the wintry vibes the Hallmark Channel is so good at creating. Why not consult some of Hallmark's beloved movies for the perfect baby name straight out of a winter wonderland?

We all know there are quite a few fall baby names for those who love the season, as well as names that are odes to the spring and summer months. For winter-lovers, though, it doesn't seem like there are quite as many options. Luckily, the Hallmark Channel is the perfect baby name guide. We all know how much they love the holiday season and the ultimate cozy feels. Plus, considering just how much content they make regularly, of course there are also lots of characters who yield plenty of adorable baby names inspired by Hallmark Channel movies and shows to be discovered. So, light a candle or two, grab your coziest blanket, and prep a mug of hot chocolate. These wintry Hallmark baby names are sure to warm that chill in the air.

Robin

"Our Christmas Journey," which premiered in 2021, features a character named Robin, played by Aloma Wright. This name is, of course, shared with the bird of the same name. Robins are often associated with winter and the Christmas season, making Robin a perfect gender neutral name choice for winter-lovers. And, uniquely, it's equally common, regardless of gender. In 2025, it ranked 704th for girls and 705th for boys, per The Bump. The name means "bright" and "shining," which certainly sets your little one up for success.

Carol

The name Carol is prominently featured in the titles of two Hallmark Christmas movies: 2003's "A Carol Christmas" and 2012's "It's Christmas, Carol!" Confusing, we know, but we get it. After all,  if you love Christmas music, there's no better pick for a baby name. Carol has a sweet sound to it, but it's declined in popularity quite a bit over the years. According to The Bump, it actually reached No. 4 in most popular baby girl names back in the 1930s. But in 2025, it was No. 2,242. A Carol comeback would be music to our ears.

Laurel

There are a few Hallmark Channel movies featuring characters named Laurel, like "A Mrs. Miracle Christmas" from 2021. Laurel is evergreen, which is why it's been historically used for wreaths and holiday decorations — because it doesn't lose its leaves in the wintertime. And isn't there something so special about setting your little one up to be themselves through every season? Laurel definitely isn't as popular as other nature-inspired names. Per The Bump, it came in at No. 734 in 2025 for girls born in the U.S., but we think this name could be going places.

Chris

"Santa Jr." premiered in 2002, and you can probably guess what the character Santa Jr.'s, played by Nick Stabile, real name is. Yes, it's Chris Kringle Jr. Since Chris is often considered Santa's real name, it has to be one of the most Christmas-y names out there. The name is gender neutral, but it's far more popular for boys, according to The Bump. Impressively, for boys, Chris has stayed fairly consistent since the late 1800s. It ranked 646th for boys born in the U.S. in 2025, which basically proves you can't go wrong with this Christmas-y name. (It's in the holiday's name, after all!)

Holly

Holly is a notoriously holiday-themed name. So, it comes as no surprise that there are a few characters in Hallmark's Christmas movies with the name, including "Holly & Ivy," which premiered in 2020. The name Holly comes from the holly tree and it's actually a gender neutral pick despite being much more typical for girls. Even so, though, Holly hasn't been a particularly popular name recently, ranking No. 416 for baby girls born in the U.S. in 2025, per The Bump. Of course, your baby will be one-of-a-kind, so a rare holiday name could be a flawless fit.

Ivy

Holly wasn't the only baby name we got from "Holly & Ivy." Ivy is another great choice. Ivy has a cozy feel to it, and it's fitting that it has a bit of a wintry vibe, since ivy continues to grow through the season. While it still has a feel that reminds us of the winter months, it's not Christmas-y the way Holly is, so it's a great, less holiday-inspired alternative. Interestingly, though, Ivy is much more popular than Holly; it ranked 39th for baby girls born in the U.S. in 2025, per The Bump.

Juniper

2023's "Mystic Christmas" stars Jessy Schram as Juniper Jones. If you think there's something wintry about the name Juniper, you're not alone. While Juniper trees aren't traditional Christmas trees, they definitely look like them. Junipers are also evergreen, so they last all winter long. The name Juniper has become increasingly popular over the past few decades, landing it at No. 100 on the list of baby girls born in the U.S. in 2025, per The Bump. Like the plant, the name Juniper is evergreen since its common nicknames, June and Junie, have big summer vibes.

Aurora

Aurora is certainly an important name on the Hallmark Channel, as it's the name of the titular character in the beloved "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries" series. Aurora likely makes a lot of people think of Aurora Borealis. And that makes a lot of people think of the winter time. It's hard to argue about otherworldly lights during the coldest, darkest times of year being the perfect inspiration for a baby name. Plenty of people apparently agree. Aurora was the No. 15 name for baby girls born in the U.S. in 2025, per The Bump.

Ember

There's a lot to love about the cold weather. Sometimes, though, the best parts of winter are, oddly enough, the warmth. Burning your favorite scented candles, getting cozy by the fireplace, making s'mores — these are essential winter activities. And, that's one of the reasons we love the name of Brittany Willacy's character in 2023's "Holiday Road," Ember. Ember is a beautiful name that invokes feelings of warmth. It's been getting increasingly popular, too, landing in the No. 154 spot for baby girls born in the U.S. in 2025, according to The Bump.

Crystal

If a fire-inspired name like Ember is too warm for you, why not go in the opposite direction? In 2011, Hallmark's "Dear Santa" premiered, starring Amy Acker as Crystal. The name surely evokes all things sparkly. Interestingly, despite how stunning this name is, its popularity has decreased in the past few decades. It was one of the most popular names for girls in the U.S. in the '80s, peaking at No. 9. In 2025, however, it was No. 1,145. For lovers of winter magic, though, this could be among the vintage names making a comeback.
