Glamourous '80s Blonde Beverly D'Angelo Still Stuns In Her 70s With Long, Gray Hair
Beverly D'Angelo rose to fame alongside Chevy Chase in the "National Lampoon's Vacation" series as his beautiful, funny, and oh-so-patient wife. She was a total blond bombshell in the '80s — and it might make you wonder what happened to her? It turns out, D'Angelo is still just as gorgeous with long gray hair in her 70s!
At the fan premiere of "Christmas at the Kringles" on October 27, 2026, D'Angelo looked stunning in a sparkly black jacket and matching pants, accessorized with a hot pink scarf around her neck. In photos, she posed with one arm on her hip and a sassy smirk on her face, with glowing makeup and pink lipstick. Her beautiful hair falls in thick curls around her shoulders in light gray strands instead of her former blond. She is just as confident and beautiful as ever, proving she is one of those actors who have aged like fine wine.
Her beauty isn't just due to her hair and makeup. Her inner confidence contributes to her delightful radiance, too. "I really enjoy my life," she told Entertainment Tonight in January 2026. "I enjoy my whole life; I can't be talked out of it."
Beverly D'Angelo still struggles with self-confidence
Beverly D'Angelo may be gorgeous, but she has moments of doubt like anyone else. In a December 2025 interview with Yahoo!, D'Angelo admitted that she struggles with self-confidence, but she's working on it. "Women weren't raised to put themselves first — we were rewarded for not doing it," she said. "When I was in my 20s, it was easy for me to be critical of myself. Now, when I notice it, I cut that out."
She isn't perfect — no one is — and she values those who keep things real. "I don't have a problem with anybody whose priority is looking beautiful ... I'm just saying that my value system doesn't really lend me to making that a priority," she continued. "When I detect authenticity in someone, it really appeals to me."
Although she turned 74 on November 14, 2025, D'Angelo remains focused on her career as an actor and singer. She starred in six movies in 2026, including "Sleepwalker," "Wrong Side of Dead," and "Christmas at the Kringles," with six more projects currently in development for 2027. She's also a singer who has starred on Broadway and famously played Patsy Cline in "Coal Miner's Daughter." We can't wait to see what she'll do next!
