Jimin Has Changed Drastically Since His First Billboard Music Awards

BTS' Jimin is 26 years and one day old. Style reports that on October 13, in honor of Jimin's birthday, fans planted 8,735 mangrove trees in an Indonesian Village at risk of flooding. Today, BTS' main vocalist is concentrated on the 2020 Billboard Awards, and it's not his first rodeo. In 2017, when the K-Pop phenomenon took home the Top Social Artist Award (beating both Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber), Jimin came suited up, hair black, in a Beatle-reminiscent 'do, with a small ribbon choker accenting his otherwise demure outfit. "We still cannot believe we're standing here on this stage at the Billboard Music Awards," the band thanked fans three years ago (via Billboard).

And now it's 2020. BTS has just hit another YouTube record out of the park. Guinness World Records reports that in September, their single, "Dynamite" broke the world record for most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, a song for which the band earned their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. There is no question that BTS deserves to be at the 2020 Billboard Awards. They're one of the night's most coveted performances. Jimin has taken off his somber, black suit coat. This year, he's dressed to stand out of the crowd.

What fans think about Jimin's changing Billboard Awards looks

In 2020, BTS is nominated for both Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist (via CNN), which is probably why Jimin's hair is now bleach-blond. Jimin has also dyed his eyebrows a sandy, face-warming brown. Between 2017 and 2020, his silver loop earrings have grown a size or five (to match the band's success?). And, is it possible that Jimin has cherry lip gloss on to match his, bright pink-bordering on Fuschia suit? Yes, please. It's 2020, and we can officially declare that the 26-year-old K-Pop idol, Jimin, has come into his own.

As for his fans? They've given him their unwavering stamp of approval. "His hair this year ... He looks so good," gushed one of his Twitter fans (we've taken out the caps, but believe us, they were there). "He gets prettier and prettier,"  swooned another, starstruck follower. "I have perished," uttered a third.
