The Truth About Tori Roloff's Relationship With Matt's Girlfriend

The stars of Little People, Big World are used to life being complicated. When the show first debuted all the way back in 2006, the focus was on the Roloff family and their farm. Most of the emphasis was on the lives of parents Matt and Amy Roloff, alongside their son Zach, all of whom have a form of dwarfism. However, over 19 successful seasons, Little People, Big World has expanded to include other characters — especially in the midst of Matt and Amy's shocking divorce after 30 years of marriage in 2016.

In February 2020, TLC shared that the landmark 20th season of this hit series would "usher in an abundance of change for all of the Roloffs." Of course, this wasn't too surprising considering how — since the show's premiere — two of Amy and Matt's four children have become parents in their own right. Not to mention, Matt has since moved on with girlfriend Caryn Chandler, and Amy got engaged to her partner, Chris Marek, in 2019.

The question on everybody's lips, though, is what Zach's wife, Tori Roloff, thinks of Caryn — and whether they even get along.

Tori Roloff and Matt's girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, are close

Not to worry, because judging by their Instagram posts, Tori Roloff and father-in-law Matt Roloff's girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, are actually super close. They frequently pop up in each other's photos, alongside all the grandchildren, of course. For Caryn's birthday in March 2020, Tori shared a super-sweet tribute on her Instagram Stories. Paired with a couple of snapshots of Caryn with Tori and Zach's children, In Touch notes that Tori gushed, "Happy birthday @carynchandler1!!! We seriously and honestly could not do life without you." Aww.

It should be noted, however, that Caryn is mindful of not taking Matt's ex-wife, Amy Roloff's, place. Per the outlet, she reportedly responded to a fan on Instagram and advised, "I am careful not to call myself their actual 'grandma,' but I love them just the same."

The families even joined forces for a blended Christmas in 2019, with Matt praising his new lady for bringing everybody together. Sharing a sweet, festive family photo on Instagram, he wrote, "@carynchandler1 is amazing! She figured out how to hold two back-to-back early Christmas events with the grandkids so everyone got their own individual attention while still celebrating and sharing as a united family." For her part, Tori also responded to one of Matt's posts about watching the children, noting (via CheatSheet), "So [stinking] grateful for you guys. To have people who love my kids ALMOST as much as I do. It's a gift."
