Best Dressed Stars At The 2020 American Music Awards

The American Music Awards red carpet brought us back — to 2019. This awards show featured the most "normal" red carpet we've seen since the pandemic shut down, well, life. Celebrities — and we're talking big names — stepped out and showed off their fashion, from Jennifer Lopez (how does she still look like she's 20 years old?), to Megan Fox, to Dua Lipa. And wow, was it refreshing to behold these stars' smiles and styles at a time when bad news seemingly reigns supreme.

We totally fell in love with many looks, but some definitely stood out among the crowd. It seems the theme of the night was showing skin, and we aren't mad about that. Because these entertainers looked good as they shimmied down the AMAs red carpet in mini-dresses, with bare midriffs and legs on display. Seriously, why not? It's 2020 and if you are having your moment to feel like a million bucks, we are here for it!

Megan Fox steps out in style

It was eyebrow raising enough that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly stepped out as a couple for the very first time at a red carpet even tonight (via People). But the actress also looked glowing in a green gown featuring an asymmetric bodice, one long sleeve, and a short skirt. Her makeup and hair were natural so that her dress stood out on the AMAs red carpet. And of course, Machine Gun Kelly's look was daring as always, showing off his tattooed torso.

Jennifer Lopez doesn't age

We refuse to believe that Jennifer Lopez is 51 years old. The ageless beauty stunned on the red carpet, donning a two-piece silver skirt and top that showed off her incredible abs and legs. Seriously, whatever this singer, dancer, and actress is doing to look so darn good, can we please copy every little detail? Of course, the star often documents her workout sessions on her Instagram, so we know she puts in the work. Still, feeling a bit jelly!

Dua Lipa went under the sea

Singer Dua Lipa seemed to take her outfit inspiration for the 2020 AMAs from Ariel in The Little Mermaid. We want to part of her world, which included a body-fitting mini-dress with a clamshell bodice and bejeweled starfish embellishment. The star's Instagram followers were big fans of the look, calling it "hot," "awesome," and "pretty." Music executive Jamal Edwards even commented, "There's only one word for that first pic and it's sensational."

Taraji P. Henson was a diva

Taraji P. Henson was a deserved diva — after all, the Empire actress was the host for the evening. We loved her red carpet look, which featured a glam headpiece and matching long-sleeve mini-dress, both of which were embellished with bling. Then, of course she stepped out on stage donning a cape and a glittery bodysuit, underneath a white mini-wrap dress. Her dance number had us grooving along. Bottom line: We love your fashion and your energy, Taraji. And as you said in your monologue, you were just happy to be off the couch and in "some real fashion." Amen to that!

Bebe Rexha showed off her body confidence

Bebe Rexha has been in the news lately because she refuses to be body shamed. And on tonight's red carpet, the singer stepped out to show off what God gave her. The star looked amazing in a cut-out sparkly gown that echoed a big AMAs trend: asymmetry. We're loving the Raggedy Ann hair hue and soft pink makeup. And more than anything, we are just loving the fashion moments we saw at the 2020 American Music Awards!
