Plus, it isn't that surprising that December 25th is the most popular day to engage, and the 24th is runner-up.

According to Real Simple, as many as 40 percent of would-be proposers start planning up to three months before the big question, which means they are very much aware (and taking advantage of) the festive spirit of the holidays.

Getting engaged around the time you celebrate with family (or on the day of) means there is much more to celebrate than opening presents, feeling the holiday spirit, and eating Christmas dinner.
