What Happened To Ashley Petta And Anthony D'Amico From Married At First Sight?

Since the very first dating game hit the airwaves over 50 years ago, the entire world has been enthralled with the idea of strangers taking a chance at love on national television, especially when the stakes are high. On one show in particular, Lifetime's Married at First Sight, the stakes are higher than usual due to the fact that the contestants become husband and wife only seconds after meeting one another. Since its premiere in 2014, American viewers have been tuned in and rooting for their favorite couples on the show. For many viewers, the relationship between Anthony D'Amico and Ashley Petta on season five of the show was especially captivating, as they seemed to share an instant attraction to one another.

From the moment these two locked eyes on the show back in 2016, there was instant chemistry. However, as you might imagine, the percentage of couples that actually remain together after meeting on a dating show is relatively low — did D'Amico and Petta break the mold?

Are Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico still together today?

At the end of 2018, the pair appeared to still be together and relatively happy in the follow-up series, "Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After?" In fact, since the show aired in the beginning of 2017, the couple has been relatively consistent with the number of heartfelt posts about one another (per Lifetime). In one post on Twitter, celebrating his three-year wedding anniversary with his wife, D'Amico described their love story as "a leap of faith that I could have never imagined to turn out like it did" (via People). Then, in January of 2019, they welcomed a daughter, Mila Rose, into the world.

In the summer of 2020, the couple appeared on Lifetime's "Couple Cam," a show meant to provide a more in-depth look at the relationship between those participants on "Married at First Sight." During an episode of the show, the couple admitted that they were expecting the arrival of a second baby in February of 2021, according to People.

"The big question now is boy or girl," D'Amico told People. "Being a dad, either sex would be fine, but I think this time around a boy would be great to mix things up a bit. If we had another girl, I would be fine with that too. I can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy! Daddy loves you already!" Clearly, the adorable couple appears to be doing rather well!
