Here's Why You Probably Won't See Lori Loughlin Acting Right Out Of Prison

Now that Lori Loughlin has completed her two-month prison sentence for the 2019 college admission scandal, fans of the Full House actress might be wondering when she'll make a return to TV. Well, it seems as eager as Loughlin is to get back, she's worried that "people won't work with her," a source told ET Online. Loughlin returned home on December 28 from the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, and has already "had her team put out feelers" to see if anyone is interested.

While she was able to make it home in time to spend New Year's with her daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, Loughlin's husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, is still serving his five-month sentence (via People). As much as she would like to get back to work, a source told People that her "next big focus is, of course, to have Mossimo back home."

Lori Loughlin is unsure if Hollywood will welcome her back

At the beginning of December, Loughlin's youngest daughter, Olivia Jade, received some backlash after appearing on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk to discuss the college admission scandal. According to CNNPinkett Smith's mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, expressed her discomfort with the interview saying, "I feel like here we are, a white woman coming to Black women for support when we don't get the same from them. It's bothersome to me on so many levels." Even Twitter had mixed feelings on the appearance, with some fans believing that the appearance on the Facebook Watch show was disingenuous (via Elite Daily).

If Loughlin's daughter is receiving backlash, it may be some time before people are open to the idea of a career comeback for the former When Calls the Heart star, and it seems she understands. A source close to the actress spoke to Hollywood Life, and said she's lying low right now and won't be making any public appearances anytime soon. She just wants to "return to some normalcy now that she's served her time."
