You Probably Missed Leann Rimes' First Acting Role

Leann Rimes may be known for her stunning voice and notable country tunes, including "How Do I Live" and "Can't Fight the Moonlight," but she's much more than a singer. In addition to being a philanthropist, a wife, and a stepmother to two boys, Rimes is also an actress who has starred in a number of movies and television shows (via IMDb).

As for her very first acting gig, that nod goes to her role as a teen runaway named Madison on long-running soap drama Days of Our Lives. According to a report from Country Music Nation, Rimes nabbed the role when she was just 16-years-old and appeared on the show for just one episode.

While appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in 1998, Rimes spoke about her love for the NBC series, as well as the first on-camera kiss she experienced on the set of the show. "My grandmother used to ... I used to want to watch Sesame Street and she would make me watch Days of Our Lives and so I got hooked on it. I watch Days all the time," Rimes revealed to the host, adding that she had recently made an appearance on the soap.

As for the kiss, Rimes said it wasn't as good as her real first kiss because there were like "10 million people watching."

Leann Rimes faced cheating rumors after Days of Our Lives cameo

Following her appearance on Days of Our Lives, Rimes was tied into some drama after singer Jessica Simpson suggested that she and her former boyfriend, actor Jensen Ackles, had broken up after he potentially engaged in an romance with Rimes behind her back after her appearance on the soap.

However, when Rimes was later questioned about her relationship with Ackles, who was a regular on Days at the time, she insisted to In Touch Weekly, via a report shared by The Things, that the two of them were nothing more than pals. "We were friends, but there was no real dating. He's a great guy, but there was no cheating," she stated.

Rimes went on to appear on a number of additional television shows, including singing competition shows Nashville Star and The Masked Singer. She also starred in a series of movies, including Coyote Ugly, Good Intentions, and Northern Lights, where she met now-husband Eddie Cibrian. As fans well know, Rimes' Northern Lights appearance also led to drama as she and Cibrian were caught having an affair behind the backs of their now-ex-spouses, Dean Sheremet and Brandi Glanville, on set (via ABC News).
