The Real Reason Chrissy Teigen Picked Up This New Hobby
Things have been tough for Chrissy Teigen lately. The model and her husband, John Legend, were looking forward to the arrival of their third child last year and were heartbroken following Teigen's pregnancy loss in September 2020. "Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever," Teigen wrote on Instagram.
In the months since then, Teigen has been open about her grief. She got a tattoo of her son's name and launched a new charity project in his honor, partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Teigen is also practicing self-care and has taken up a new hobby following the recommendation of her therapist: horseback riding. "My therapist says I need something that I do for just me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol," she announced on Twitter over the weekend. "Today begins my journey into the horse world." Teigen's post also included a photo of the horse she was about to ride. "I hope this dude likes me," she wrote. "Weary face he's so handsome and appears lazy, I love." In a follow-up tweet, Teigen revealed that the horse is not hers and that his name is Cosmo.

Teigen may have chosen horseback riding as a hobby for herself, but she isn't leaving her family out of the fun. She brought them along to the stable and shared updates of the excursion on her Instagram Story (via BuzzFeed). Teigen also revealed in an Instagram post that her daughter, Luna, went on her first horse ride
Teigen seems to have had a good time exploring her new hobby, although she did have one gripe. "Holy s***," she tweeted. "Horse people: the boots! I always thought breaking in boots meant the foot part but does it mean the calf part because I'm dying over here."
Teigen tweeted footage of her trying to stretch out her new knee-high horseback riding boots. Thankfully, followers were quick to help out and offered plenty of advice on how to make her new boots more comfortable.
