Rosé From BLACKPINK Just Shared Big News With Fans

BLACKPINK's Rosé will share her solo debut track during the group's online concert "THE SHOW," which will livestream on Jan. 31.

According to Soompi, YG Entertainment reported that the song shows off Rosé's soulful vocals and that it is quite different from the music fans are used to expecting from BLACKPINK. The outlet further stated that Rosé has finished filming the music video for this track, as teased on YouTube, and she wanted to introduce it to the world during "THE SHOW," which will be BLACKPINK's first livestreamed concert.

Announced on Dec. 2, 2020, "THE SHOW" is a collaboration with YouTube Music and was originally scheduled for Dec. 27. Due to new COVID-19 regulations in South Korea, however, it was postponed, according to Billboard. Fans can tune into the digital concert by purchasing a subscription to BLACKPINK's YouTube channel, and the music will be able to be purchased via YouTube Music.

Rosé is the second member of BLACKPINK with a solo debut

BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group that has been around since 2016, and it is made up of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé. Previously, YG Entertainment said that each member would be working on solo projects, and Rosé will be the second to do so after Jennie's release of "Solo" in 2018.

Rosé was born as Roseanne Park on Feb. 11, 1997, in New Zealand. She signed with YG Entertainment in 2012. Besides being part of the music industry, she has also worked with cosmetics brands like Kiss Me and Yves Saint Laurent and has appeared on shows like King of Mask Singer.

According to Statista, she is the third most-followed celebrity in South Korea on Instagram, with Jennie sitting in first place, BLACKPINK in fourth, and Jisoo in fifth. Those who are anxious to hear Rosé's new track should mark their calendars for Jan. 31 and tune into "THE SHOW"!
