Kelly Dodd Responds To Rumors She Was Fired From RHOC

Since "controversial" is basically Kelly Dodd's middle name, it's no surprise that rumors about her alleged firing from Real Housewives of Orange County have begun to spring up. With comments comparing coronavirus to the flu, wearing a "Drunk Wives Matter" hat, and getting married during the pandemic (via Reality Tea), it's hardly shocking that some viewers are calling for Dodd to get booted off the show.

Adding fuel to the fire, Dodd's biggest opponent Vicki Gunvalson told Champion Daily that "Kelly is a living nightmare who continues to make reckless comments with no regard for the impact her words may have. While I continue to be surprised Bravo would continue to endorse her behavior — especially given all of the fan pushback on social media regarding the horrendous things she's said — time will tell if she will remain on the show or not."

Gunvalson's comments were clearly meant as a dig at Dodd, after countless fights between the two over the history of RHOC, sending fans in a frenzied tailspin on social media. So is Dodd getting fired or not? The reality star was quick to set the record straight.

Dodd's response to the firing rumors

In response to the rumors, Dodd wrote on her Twitter account: "No I am not fired !!! [Contracts] haven't come out yet ! Vicki stop being a hater" (via Us Weekly). We can only guess that Dodd wrote this tweet in response to Gunvalson's previous snarky comments, and to make sure fans know that nothing is set in stone yet in regard to next season's cast.

That being said, Dodd is no angel to Gunvalson, either (that's an understatement!). She recently told Hollywood Life: "I don't think Vicki fits into the group. She just doesn't. At least Tamra is pretty to look at, she's got a good body, she's got a good husband, she's a go getter at things and she's fun." Well, then!

Although Bravo has not released an official statement about Dodd's appearance on RHOC's next season, we know we can expect all the drama either way (and we're here for it!)
