The Sweet Meaning Behind Paris Hilton's Engagement Ring

Paris Hilton recently made headlines following her announcements about her engagement to Carter Reum and her unconventional approach to IVF. After receiving a $2 million ring from her ex-fiancé, Chris Zylka, Brides reports, the heiress and entrepreneur has a new sparkler with a cute story behind it.

Hilton spoke with Ryan Seacrest on Monday and divulged all of the details surrounding her engagement ring, People notes. The rock's emerald cut is called "The Paris" and monuments in the city of light served as its inspiration — namely, the Grand Palais. Apparently, Reum enlisted the help of the famed Louis Cartier's second great grandson, Jean Dousset, to help him design a ring fit for an heiress. In addition to the massive stone in the middle, the ring boasts other diamonds along the sides. "I'm so obsessed with it. It has like 15 diamonds going around and then inside it has a 'P' with a sapphire," she gushed to the radio host. "So if you open it, it's like a 'P,' which I don't know if you can see but it's pretty amazing," the 40-year-old added.

On her YouTube channel, Hilton shared the sketch of the ring alongside other details and a video that chronicles the design of the sparkler as well. Giving fans an inside look into her personal life, she beamed as she shared her happiness with the radio host.

Paris Hilton's new engagement ring may be the cheapest she's received

The gorgeous ring certainly includes adorable personal touches and elegant details, but Hilton's previous engagement rings also top the list of enviable rocks. Brides reports that, in 2018, her engagement to Zylka came complete with a 20-carat pear shaped sparkler that included a halo of diamonds on top of a double pavé band. The $2 million stone may still remain in her possession, the outlet contends, saying that she had no plans to return the jaw-dropping jewel when the two went their separate ways in 2018.

The entrepreneur and DJ was also engaged in 2002 to Jason Shaw, a model, who proposed to her with a massive pear-shaped diamond set in gold. A quick dalliance, Hilton and Shaw's romance came to an end in 2003, according to the outlet. Two years later, her relationship with a Greek shipping heir who shares her first name, Paris Latsis, culminated in a proposal. Her boyfriend at the time gathered nearly 15 rings from the world's highest end jewelers and asked her to pick her favorite. Apparently, her $5 million ring clocked in at an astounding 24-carats.

As for her ring from Reum, Hilton doesn't have to worry about looking gaudy. Kathryn Money, senior Vice President of Brilliant Earth tells the outlet, "Paris' ring features some of this year's hottest engagement ring trends: elongated cuts and three-stone styles," making it a trend-setting gem from the get-go. Millions of dollars worth of diamonds certainly are Paris Hilton's best friends.
