A Closer Look At Katie Lee's Husband, Ryan Biegel

Food Network star Katie Lee Biegel has had quite the impressive career since she first broke into the culinary scene as a guest judge on "Iron Chef " in 2005 (via IMDb). Since then, she's appeared on a ton of cooking shows, including "Giada at Home," "Thanksgiving at Bobby's," "Chopped Junior," and "Beat Bobby Flay." Katie Lee has also hosted some of Food Network and The Cooking Channel's most popular shows, including "The Kitchen" and "Beach Bites with Katie Lee."

On top of her successful television career, Katie Lee has penned four cookbooks over the past 13 years: "It's Not Complicated," "Groundswell," "The Comfort Table: Recipes for Everyday Occasions," and "Endless Summer Cookbook" (via Biegel's website).

In 2018, Lee married television producer Ryan Biegel in a gorgeous ceremony held at Lo Scoglio da Tommaso in Marina del Cantone, Italy (via People) — a place that holds a special place in the couple's hearts. "The first time that we came here together, we just felt like it was so special, and I think it was the place where we really fell in love with each other," Katie Lee previously told the outlet. "And we love the family that owns Lo Scoglio. They've become kind of like our Italian family. When we were thinking about getting married, this was really the place that felt like it was right for us."

Katie Lee and Ryan Biegel actually met on the set of one of her shows

Katie Lee Biegel served as a producer on Season 1 of Lee's hit show, "Beach Bites with Katie Lee," and the talk show host said there were instant sparks when they met. "We did exactly what you're not supposed to do — we met at work. He was a producer on the first season of 'Beach Bites,'" she recalled in an interview with Health in 2018. "I remember going into a production meeting for the first time and thinking, 'God, that guy is so cute.'"

Although Katie Lee and Ryan Biegel first started out as friends and grew close while traveling from location to location together, she told the outlet that Ryan knew from day one that he wanted to marry her. "He told me later that he'd seen a TV segment of me promoting my last cookbook, and he was like, 'I'm gonna marry that girl.' I was his crush," she shared.

Ryan has built up an impressive work history

In addition to his work on "Beach Bites," Ryan Biegel has served as producer on "Best Bars in America," "Tia Mowry At Home," "Top Chef," "Expedition Unknown," and "Real Housewives of New York City" (via IMDb). He also has a few notable acting credits to his name, appearing in "Shallow Hal," "Scrubs," "Cougar Town," and "Enlisted."

Actor and producer aren't the only roles he's played in the last decade, though. In September 2020 — shortly before his and Lee's two-year wedding anniversary — Ryan became a father for the first time. Katie Lee Biegel gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Iris Marion Biegel (via E! News), and the first-time parents haven't stopped gushing about their little bundle of joy ever since. Ryan seems to be taking to fatherhood rather seamlessly, and regularly posts sweet snaps of his precious daughter on social media.

In addition to his busy career and family life, one scroll through Ryan's Instagram will show you that the man is a foodie, through and through — which shouldn't come as a surprise, considering he's married to a Food Network star.
