What Happened To The Cast Of 13 Reasons Why?

The Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" ran for four seasons from 2017-20 to consistently mixed reviews. The show followed the story of Hannah, a young girl who takes her own life. A mysterious box containing recordings allegedly made by Hannah arrives at the doorstep of her friend, Clay. Clay then faces a choice: Does he listen to the recordings and find out why his friend took her life?

Viewers didn't always like the way "13 Reasons Why" handled the sensitive topic of suicide, but the show still drew in huge numbers, and it launched the careers of Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford, who play Clay and Hannah. Since the show ended last year, lots of people have wondered what everyone is up to.

Before the show, Dylan Minnette was in a band called Wallows (via PopSugar). It seems that he took a bit of time off from acting following the show's end, but will be seen in the latest installment in the "Scream" franchise when it's released in 2022.

Other members of the cast of 13 Reasons Why are still acting

Katherine Langford has also been making career strides since the show's finale. Her first role following "13 Reasons Why" was actually in "Avengers: Endgame," when she signed on to play Tony Stark's daughter. Unfortunately, the footage never made it to the film itself. Langford had a role in 2019's "Knives Out," played Nimue on the television series "Cursed," and starred in 2020's "Spontaneous."

Langford famously taught herself to play piano after watching a Lady Gaga video, and sometimes writes her own songs. This fact has led many fans to speculate she could launch a career in music, but Langford told Vogue Australia she doesn't see it happening anytime soon. "I love musicals, but for the moment I keep [my music] to myself. I have been asked if I'm ever going to release anything ... I think down the track, I wouldn't say no if it was something that I was proud of or something I feel people would like."

Several other cast members from the show have moved on to newer roles as well. Alisha Boe, who played Jessica Davis on "13 Reasons Why," just wrapped the movie "When You Finish Saving the World" with Julianne Moore, and Ross Butler, who was Zach Dempsey (and Trevor Pike in the "To All the Boys" movies), had a part in Disney's "Raya and the Last Dragon." Brandon Flynn, meanwhile, who portrayed Justin Foley in the series, had a role in 2020's "Looks That Kill" and in the Netflix production "Ratched," alongside Sarah Paulson.
