The Property Brothers' Birth Story Has A Surprising Twist
You probably think you know everything about twins Drew and Jonathan Scott. The Canadian brothers rose to popularity through their hit HGTV home makeover show "Property Brothers," which is in its 14th season. They take drab, outdated houses and work with property owners to create a gorgeous dream home, and it often seems like they work miracles, but they actually accomplish it through a lot of hard work. At least once, they had to say "no" to a homeowner, but usually, they make dreams come true. Jonathan and Drew also competed against each other in "Brother vs. Brother" and completed various spinoffs of their original hit television show.
The twins started their careers early, buying their first house at age 17 and flipping it for a tidy profit (via HGTV). Jonathan noted during a clip of their BroCam that they often get emails asking if they are real twins. It may seem obvious since they look so much alike, but fans always want to know the truth. However, during the short video, Jonathan and Drew revealed something astonishing about their arrival, which likely threw their parents, Jim and Joanne Scott, for a pretty big loop on the day they were born.

If you can believe it, the Drew and Jonathan Scott's parents, Jim and Joanne Scott, had no idea they were about to welcome twins. Born first, they thought Jonathan was the only child she had been carrying. The brothers told the story for the BroCam, revealing that Drew showed up four minutes after Jonathan. Because Joanne did not get an ultrasound, the doctor shocked her by telling her they thought there was another baby. Throughout her prenatal care, the twins' heartbeats were in sync, so there were no tell-tale signs that Joanne's single pregnancy would beget two babies.
Another interesting tidbit the identical twins shared is that Jonathan had Drew's butt print on his skull because Drew's backside pressed against Jonathan's head as they grew in the womb. Apparently, the imprint is still there today. "Regardless of what happens, I will always be four minutes older — four minutes wiser," Jonathan proclaimed. However, Drew had something to say about his slightly older brother's situation. "Regardless of whatever happens, I will always have sat on your head in the womb for nine months," Drew teased, leaving Jonathan with a "gross" visual. Although Drew might have come as a surprise, life would not be the same without him!
