Inside Moriah Plath's Relationship With Sister Lydia

"Welcome to Plathville" is a reality TV series produced by TLC. The show follows the escapades of the Plath family, which is made up of parents Barry and Kim and their children: Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy. The family is known for being ultra-conservative and strict; TLC's website for the series boasts that the "nine flaxen-haired children in the Plath family have never had a soda, don't know who Spiderman or Tom Brady is and have never watched TV."

In its first and second seasons, the show explored what could happen as the four oldest Plath children began expressing an interest in leaving the family farm in rural Georgia and exploring the world beyond the confines of their parents.

Moirah Plath is known for being the black sheep of the family, and her younger sister Lydia has so far vocalized a lot more support for the rules her parents have established.

Moirah and Lydia Plath don't see eye to eye

Moirah Plath has expressed an interest in the outside world and has an Instagram account she updates regularly. In January of this year, she posted a series of photos from a hike and captioned them, "There's always so many things we can find wrong with how we were raised... and so much room for anger, but that's not where I want my focus cause that'll only pull me backwards when I want to move on! So let's look to the bright side!"

While Moirah is focused on the world beyond her family's farm in Georgia, Lydia seems to be just as happy staying there. When Season 2 premiered, TLC shared a clip of the two sisters talking about their lives and expectations. After Moirah asked Lydia if she had any plans to ever live in the "outside world," Lydia simply replied, "I experience the outside world just enough to know that I don't want to be like that" (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet).

Even though they have different opinions about how life should be lived, it's clear the sisters love each other.  The Plath parents shared that they don't see Lydia leaving the family like her older sister did, adding, "Three of the older children have kind of gone their own way, but Lydia is the next one in line to leave the nest, and at this point, it doesn't look like she's gonna rebel and go some crazy way."
