How Eboni K. Williams Feels About Joining RHONY

Eboni K. Williams is both a lawyer and the host of "Revolt Black News" according to People. But she is also the newest cast member of the "Real Housewives of New York City." And, Williams will be the first Black lead on the show.

Before she was a cast member, Williams was a superfan, telling E! News about joining seasoned castmates Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney, and Sonja Morgan, "It was such an honor. It still is so surreal to me. I am a 'RHONY' fan. I've seen every episode from day one."

But being a cast member on "RHONY" was actually an important step for the newly-christened reality star, with Williams explaining about her decision to join, "I just wanted to show up for the culture, represent for Black women and women of color everywhere and especially here in New York, the most diverse city in the world."

What we might see from Eboni K. Williams on RHONY

When Williams was cast on the show back in October of last year, she said about the opportunity, "NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I'm excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife."

The 37-year-old further added, "Can't wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn't been seen before. Anyone who's aware of my work knows I don't hold back. I'm going to keep it just as real here as I do everywhere else" (via People).

Speaking of keeping it real, in a trailer for the upcoming season of "RHONY," Williams hilariously tells her fellow castmates, "I'm not Toni Morrison in this b***h, I can't be teaching you guys everything."

We can't wait to see what else Williams' new role on the show serves up when the ladies of "RHONY" come back to Bravo on May 4th (via E! News).
