The Truth About Kesha's Dating History

Kesha initially made a name for herself as a party girl who was up for anything, thanks to mega-hits including "Tik Tok," "Blow," and "We R Who We R."

The pop star also spoke out very publicly about her ongoing legal issues with music producer Dr. Luke, (via Rolling Stone), which put her on a platform to speak up about the treatment of female artists in the music industry.

Despite her outspoken activism and party-starting hits, the "Praying" hit-maker is notably shy about opening up to fans, especially when it comes to her love life. According to Who's Dated Who, she's been linked to other well-known names including Adam Lambert and Justin Bieber, before he married Hailey Baldwin of course.

These days, it's tough to separate rumor from fact since Kesha refuses to confirm either way. Likewise, the famous men she's allegedly been with are equally reticent to get into the particulars and details. The biggest shock about the pop star's dating record thus far, in fact, might just be that she's actually settled down to a certain extent and has remained with the same man for many years.

Kesha shares how Brad lets her be her truest self

According to Who's Dated Who and Ranker, Kesha has been rumored to be romantically involved with 2Chainz, former Wolfmother member Alex Carapetis, and T-Pain. However since 2014, the "Tik Tok" singer has been happily coupled up with writer Brad Ashenfelter.

In a 2019 interview with Attitude magazine, Kesha confirmed that she identifies as a bisexual, though she never felt the need to "come out about it" because it wasn't hidden. "I have always been attracted to the soul behind a person's eyes," she explained. "It has never occurred to me to care about a specific gender, or how someone is identifying, to make me wonder about whether or not I'm attracted to them." Although Kesha has had relationships with women, the paparazzi have yet to catch them together.

Kesha also shared that Ashenfelter allows her to express her attraction to women freely, noting, "You know, I'll call him and be like, 'I had fun tonight, I met a sweet girl and we had a really good time.' And he'll say, 'Cool babe, I love you.' It's so nice."

She continued, "I have both male and female energies and so does he. He understands that me being attracted to a woman has nothing to do with my attraction for him. He knows that I'm just a wild spirit that needs to run free, and that I always come back to the barn for apples from my boy!"

The pop star has found her perfect match in Brad

They might keep their relationship prviate, but Kesha has gushed openly about Brad Ashenfelter, telling "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" in 2014, "He's really, a really sweet human being. I'm very happy to have him in my life," (via Us Weekly).

However, they didn't hit it off right away, with the "Die Young" hit-maker admitting to Rolling Stone she was put off by the writer's lack of facial hair. Their first kiss sealed the deal, since it was "the nicest kiss I ever had." Describing her man as a "pure soul," Kesha revealed she knew immediately they had to be together.

The couple lives in Venice, California, with their adorable cats. According to an insider, "He loves her unconditionally. They're really a perfect fit," (via Life & Style). The source added, "If it were up to Brad, he would walk her down the aisle today." The two were snapped taking a low-key stroll down the beach in April 2021 and seemed fairly happy as they were.
