Lopez and Affleck made headlines in late April 2021 when Page Six reported that the pair had been secretly meeting up. The "Good Will Hunting" star was spotted heading to his former fiancée's house just days after her split from longtime love Alex Rodriguez. Sources told the outlet that Lopez's security would pick up Affleck and drive him to her home so that they could spend time together away from the public. Just days after Lopez and Affleck were reported to be rekindling a relationship, the pair were photographed vacationing in Montana together. "[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy," a source told People of the couple's getaway.
As many fans will remember, Lopez and Affleck were previously one of Hollywood's golden couples. The pair were dubbed "Bennifer" in the media, who loved to report on the status of their relationship. The duo first met in 2002 and quickly hit it off (via Us Weekly). They were engaged by 2003, but stunned fans when they postponed their wedding just days before the ceremony was scheduled. They officially called it quits in early 2004. They both moved on, got married and had children with other people. However, now that they're both single again, they seem to be giving their romance another shot and JLo is said to be open to the possibilities.

Sources told People that Lopez and Affleck have been in touch "every day" since leaving their Montana vacation. Although Lopez is working in Miami and Affleck is back home in Los Angeles, the pair are keeping up with each other and "making plans to see each other," according to insiders. "Jennifer is still very excited about how things are going," one informant dished.
Meanwhile, sources have revealed that it was Affleck who reached out to Lopez initially. "Ben reached out to Jennifer as a friend. He was single and thought she might be single, too," the insider said. Other sources told Us Weekly that Lopez and Affleck began to exchange "flirty" messages, which rekindled their connection.
"Jen got back in touch with Ben after it became apparent to her that things with Alex [Rodriguez] weren't working anymore," the insider said. "They'd already sounded each other out about it from afar, like, when Ben heaped praise on Jen in interviews. She made it very plain to their mutual friends that she was open to getting back in touch," the insider added. Meanwhile, neither Lopez nor Affleck has spoken publicly about the status of their relationship.
