Inside Elliott Gould's Marriage To Jennifer Bogart

Elliott Gould has had an impressive acting career that spans over 50 years, but his private life has also been in the spotlight, including his marriages to singer and actress Barbra Streisand and Jennifer Bogart, an actress and screenwriter who Gould married and divorced not once, but twice, according to The Independent

Gould and Streisand met during their Broadway careers and married in 1963, making the duo one of Hollywood's hottest couples of the time. They had one son, Jason, but as Streisand's fame surpassed Gould's, they didn't "grow together," Gould said, explaining the breakdown of their marriage to People. The two later divorced in 1971.

Gould met Bogart in 1969 while he was separated from Streisand. At the time, Bogart was 18 and Gould was 31. They married in 1973 and had two children, Samuel and Molly, but divorced two years later in 1975, according to The Independent. They married again in 1978, only to divorce a final time in 1989.

Elliott's ex-wife Jennifer leads a private life

Elliott Gould told The Independent his relationship with Jennifer Bogart was a rollercoaster, hence their two divorces, but they seem to be on good terms now. "Jenny is the best fighter I've ever met," he said. "She fights for everything, she fights for life."

As for Bogart, not much is known about Gould's ex-wife. According to The L.A. Times, Emmy-winning TV director Paul Bogart had a surviving daughter named Jennifer, and IMDb only lists two credits in her profile. She appeared in an episode of the 1960s legal drama "The Defenders" and wrote the 2000 movie "Frankie & Hazel," which starred Mischa Barton and Joan Plowright. Their son, Samuel Gould, followed in his father's footsteps, acting in a handful of small-budget films such as "Kicking and Screaming," according to his IMDb profile.

As for Gould, he can next be seen in the much-anticipated "Friends" reunion scheduled to air on HBO Max, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He portrayed Monica and Ross Gellar's father throughout the popular TV show's run on NBC.
