This Zodiac Sign Has Had The Most Presidents In Office

U.S. President Joe Biden, who was sworn into office this January, has become known for several history-making moments, including his latest executive action — signing into law on June 17, 2021, the bill that would make Juneteenth a federal holiday (via CNN).

When Biden is not pursuing his administrative goals, he's making history in other ways. When Biden was elected, it made Scorpios the most-represented zodiac sign among U.S. presidents with six, breaking the tie of five between Scorpios and Aquarians, per Glamour. This could be sheer coincidence as some outlets, like Astrocentre via MSN, claim that Scorpios make up the largest plurality of the U.S. population, allegedly at 9.6%. However, Aquarians are said to make up the smallest percentage at 6.3%, and are the second-most represented sign among U.S. presidents.

It's also important to note that the sources that claim these percentages have not cited the data. In fact, Bustle asserted that Scorpios and Aquarians are actually some of the least common zodiac signs after looking at data compiled by FiveThirtyEight on the number of births each day in the U.S. from 1994 to 2014. This doesn't necessarily mean that Scorpios are rare though, as the data only goes back to 1994, and the U.S. president must be over 35 years old. Whether Scorpios are commonly found or are rare finds, it's worth considering that there is something to the elusive sign that makes for a standout leader.

Scorpios' intelligent and independent nature makes for presidential material

Scorpios are known for their intelligence, independent nature and charisma — all qualities that would make for a natural leader, per Cosmopolitan. The outlet adds that they are loyal, like challenges, stand up for their values, and don't let criticism get to them. Their analytical natures also help them in making informed decisions based on extensive research. Their fierce determination matches their high ambitions, which help them get the job done, like Biden reaching the goal of 300 million COVID-19 vaccinations within 150 days, per The Washington Post.

Professional astrologer Adama Sesay told Glamour, "Certain signs might have more leadership qualities, staying power, or the ability to influence others with their voice or presence." Sesay added that Scorpios and Aquarians tend to dedicate their work toward the greater good for society, which might be why they seem to be popular presidential candidates. And according to a 2015 Daily Mail article, it seems like Scorpios are one of the most-represented signs among world leaders as well, with 22 Scorpio leaders at the time the article was written.

Per the outlet, Scorpios have important leadership qualities like being determined and unyielding, although they can be prone to being stubborn and secretive. Nevertheless, Scorpios seem to have the ability to accomplish even the most arduous feats. As former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, a Scorpio, once said, "Nothing in this world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty," (via Insider).

Along with Presidents Biden and Roosevelt, the other Scorpio U.S. presidents are John Adams, James Polk, James Garfield, and Warren Harding.
