Take Style Inspiration From These Fashionable Leo Celebrities

Leos, known for their passionate, fiery and headstrong personalities, can always be counted on for their fashion sense. Fans of bright colors, bold looks and fashion risks, Leos' closets are nothing short of inspirational (via StitchFix). Born between July 22 and August 22, this summer zodiac sign has given us some of the most iconic fashion looks. Whether they're rocking a glamorous vintage piece or stepping it up with a casual-chic off-duty look, Leos are always packed with personality (via Vogue).

From music stars like Madonna to Jennifer Lopez, who are known for having show-stopping look after look, to Halle Berry and Dua Lipa, who are unafraid to make an entrance, Leos are constantly the main character in their daily lives.

The fire signs' drive for creativity and trust in their own gut makes them the perfect fashion inspiration. Here are four of our favorite Leo fashion stars for style inspo.

Glow with Jenny from the block

Jennifer Lopez has been giving us fashion envy since her early days as Jenny from the Block. White jeans, crop tops, bandanas and hoops had us all envying her for the perfect cool-girl look. In the early 2000s, she rocked the low-waisted pant and crop top moment, opting for plunging necklines when wearing gowns at award shows.

Though she then transitioned into more luxe tonal looks, Lopez continued to play with texture and fabrics for an added punch to her style.

Lately she's been loving a color-block moment. After wearing an all-white pantsuit for President Joe Biden's inauguration, she was then seen wearing an all-neutral look with matching shoes and accessories, per Town and Country. And of course, her signature hoops (via InStyle).

A whirlwind romance with ex Ben Affleck after split from fiancé A-Rod has perhaps inspired Lopez to be even more creative and bold with her outfits. In a recent performance at the Global Citizen's VAX LIVE concert she performed wearing a colorful neon color-blocked bodysuit (via People). Complete with black knee-high boots, the bodysuit was just one of many bold looks she wore throughout the night.

What can we say, Lopez is truly living her best post-break-up main character glow-up moment, and we're here for it.

Royally elegant looks with Meghan Markle

Even before she was the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was an inspiration for the Leos who wanted to keep it more classic. Though the royal role certainly restricted her own personal sense of style, often calling for more conservative looks featuring hats and pantyhose, Markle's style has been allowed to shine since she and Prince Harry left Buckingham Palace (via Honey).

Ever the advocate and activist for women's rights, Markle wore a pendant featuring the women's rights symbol — a fist inside the female sex symbol — during her first TV interview since the special with Oprah.

For some of her more casual looks, Markle loves pairing a tan or camel coat with a turtleneck sweater or scarf underneath, some tapered pants and classic Jimmy Choos (via Elle). In fact the Duchess loves a staple long coat, having worn versions in plaid, grey, maroon, and black in multiple events as a working royal.

Now with more time at home to spend with her kids, Markle continues to shine in casual wear. Whether that be donning Stella McCartney Stan Smith sneakers, or a simple t-shirt with a message about mental health, her casual chic attire proves that Leo's don't always have to have crazy, out-there looks to call attention (via MeghansMirror).

Incredible vocals and even better looks with Whitney Houston

Elegance with a kick — queen of the '80s Whitney Houston continues to live in our minds not only as one of the best singers of the 20th century, but also as an absolute fashion icon. From an abundance of sequins both on and off-stage, to bold prints and many ruffles, Houston knew what to do to take an outfit to the next level.

Like a true Leo, she even brought those pops to her off-duty looks. Indeed sequined blazers paired with a casual tee or black turtleneck and some jeans quickly became a favorite for the singer (via InStyle). It also looks like monochromatic looks may be a staple of Leos, as Houston loved creating an all-white look with simple yet unique pieces.

Despite always adding some fun with the texture and fabrics of her looks, the winner of six Grammys, two Emmys and 22 American Music Awards remained loyal to a couple of relatively conservative silhouettes — suits, shoulder-pads, prom dresses and turtlenecks (via Glamour). Perhaps it is this what makes her such an icon, her ability to mix the classic shapes with contemporary sparkles.

Timeless classics thanks to Coco Chanel

Last but certainly not least, we have fashion revolutionary Coco Chanel. Born on August 19, Chanel was, and continues to be, an inspiration for many. 100 years after the fashion house was created, pearls, camellia brooches, monochrome palettes, and simple silhouettes remain Chanel's most signature looks (via Vogue).

Tweed jackets and suits continue to be Chanel's most recognizable clothes. Strong willed and independent, her clothes were vastly different from those popular for women at the time. Instead of restricting corsets, Chanel embodied the laid back and easy-to-wear look (via CR Fashion Book).

She once said that "simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance," a quote that would eventually become the fashion house's motto. "A woman can be overdressed, but never over elegant" she added.

Though she never married, Chanel's long affair with fashion and her career revolutionized what women's fashion could become. If you're looking to be inspired by her, remember that simplicity is the key.
