Why Nicki Minaj's Recent Instagram Post Has RHOP Fans In A Frenzy

Nicki Minaj is looking to branch out. Following her massive success as one of the best female rappers of her generation, the 38-year-old musician and new mom took to social media on July 30, 2021, to express interest in hosting the upcoming reunion special for "The Real Housewives of Potomac" Season 6.

Weeks into the new season of the Bravo reality series, Minaj sent fans of "RHOP," and the cast itself, into a tizzy by "announcing" she will be replacing the show's usual reunion host, Andy Cohen, this fall when the ladies of the series reunite to rehash the events of the season. "I'll be hosting the reunion. [Let me know] what y'all want me to ask chile," Minaj stated, via People, in the caption of a teaser for the show on InstagramFollowing the post, Cohen made it clear that he was on board with potentially handing over the mic.

"I want to see this!" he proclaimed on social media, as a number of "RHOP" cast members weighed in. "Yesssssss!!!!!" Gizelle Bryant wrote, supported by Karen Huger's, "All right now." After Robyn Dixon posted a number of emoticons, Wendy Osefo said, "Yessssss Queen." So will we see the musician turned host on-screen?

Nicki Minaj is encouraging her fans to binge-watch RHOP

In addition to her comment about the "Real Housewives of Potomac" reunion on her Instagram page, Nicki Minaj also shared a post about the show on her Instagram Story. "Don't move! Everyone binge watch all the episodes cuz we finna get into some thangz hunty: My questions will be well thought out, too. Mixed with funny & epic, of course," she wrote, as People revealed.

Although it is unclear if this scenario of Minaj hosting the "RHOP" reunion would ever actually happen, Cohen continued to promote the idea by re-sharing Minaj's second message on his own Instagram Story, saying, "Nicki is not playing."

As the day continued, so did Minaj's posts. And, along with a screenshot of a text message conversation with a man named "Joe Publicist," Minaj confirmed she's been given details about the upcoming taping. "Andy Cohen said he would gladly give up his seat to have you host the Potomac reunion. Tapes around October," the man wrote.

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS," Minaj responded. "I WANT TO DO IT." "The Real Housewives of Potomac" Season 6 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. Time will tell if hosting is in Minaj's future!
