Porsha Williams' Engagement Ring Is Even More Extravagant Than You Expect

Porsha Williams is undeniably one of the most entertaining cast members on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." The wealthy 40-year-old joined the hit franchise in 2012 and made her debut on the third episode of Season 5 (via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution). When we first met Williams, she was newly married to former NFL star Kordell Stewart. Williams fell for Stewart because of his passion and trustworthiness, but after two years of marriage, Stewart filed for divorce and the couple reached a settlement in 2013 (via Us Weekly).

Following her split from Stewart, Williams dated a few men before getting engaged to entrepreneur Dennis McKinley in 2018 (via Hollywood Life). The pair welcomed a daughter together, but called it quits in October 2020. While Williams' break up with McKinley was quite difficult, she's found love in an unexpected place. The star recently took to Instagram to reveal that she is engaged to Simon Guobadia, the wealthy former husband of her "Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star, Falynn Guobadia (via People).

Porsha Williams' engagement ring has a high valuation

On May 10, 2021, Porsha Williams posted a selfie alongside her new fiancé, Simon Guobadia, to her Instagram account. In her caption, she revealed that she had only begun dating Simon a month prior, but was already madly in love with the 57-year-old film producer. She wrote, "I know it's fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes." Williams was also quick to clarify that her "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star, Falynn Guobadia, and her fiancé filed for divorce back in January 2021. Simon also took to social media to share the news of the engagement.

In a series of Instagram photos, the entrepreneur displayed Williams' stunning engagement ring — the reality star scored a massive sparkler. According to the CEO of WP Diamonds, Andrew Brown, the ring features a 12 to 15 carat emerald cut stone, set atop a micro pavé band (via Page Six). Brown also estimated the cost of the ring. He concluded, "Assuming the diamond is a high color and clarity, like F VVS, a ring like this would be $1-1.25 million at retail." While Ajay Anand, the CEO of Rare Carat, estimated the ring is probably closer to $750,000, Mike Fried, the CEO of The Diamond Pro, agreed with the first evaluation. Fried said, "There's no doubt that Simon Guobadia went all out for Porsha. Her ring is absolutely stunning and is a testament to their relationship — and their sense of style."
