Here's What Kaley Cuoco's Ex Is Asking For In The Divorce

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook stunned their fans earlier this month when they announced that they had split. The former "Big Bang Theory" star and the professional equestrian had only recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary before calling it quits. Cuoco filed for divorce on Sept. 3, 2021, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. She also asked that the court terminate its ability to award spousal support to both her and Cook, per People

The pair announced the sad news via a joint statement, which they released through their representatives. "Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions," their statement reads. "We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary. We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further."

For his part, Cook has responded to the filing and has asked for some personal effects to be returned to him (via ET Online).

Karl Cook asks for jewelry and other personal effects amid divorce

Us Weekly reports that Kaley Cuoco's estranged husband, Karl Cook, has officially responded to her divorce filing. The professional equestrian filed his response on Sept. 3, 2021, the same day that the actress filed for divorce. In the court documents, it's revealed that Cook has requested that some items be returned to him amid the split. He asked for "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects" to be returned to him. He also requested that any "earnings and accumulations" that he made before and after the couple's split remain his.

Cuoco and Cook made headlines in April 2020 when the actress admitted that the pair didn't live together until the COVID-19 pandemic. "This quarantine has actually forced us to move in together," she said during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Cuoco added that the move-in had been very beneficial. "It's been great for our relationship. We like each other, we've realized, which is even better."

Neither Cuoco nor Cook have spoken out about their split since they announced their divorce, but it seems that they are keeping things friendly. The actress even recently commented a heart emoji on an Instagram post about Cook winning some recent equestrian events, per TMZ. While fans are sad that things didn't work out for the couple, at least they are trying to part ways peacefully.
