The Sweet Tribute Prince Harry Paid To Archie Is Absolutely Heartwarming

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently on their first tour together since exiting the royal family in early 2020. The couple officially touched down in New York City this week to meet with the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield (via Marie Claire). The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to The Big Apple to discuss many issues plaguing the country and the world at this time, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Harry and Meghan have been very outspoken about getting vaccinated as well as other important issues (via CNN).

"Wonderful meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," tweeted Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield after her meeting with the couple. "Important discussion of COVID, racial justice, and raising mental health awareness." Meghan and Harry are currently taking part in the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park over the weekend. The event is described as a "gathering of Global Citizens, historic artists, and global leaders," and a "recovery plan for the world."

The Sussexes were spotted leaving the United Nations building in New York City this week. While the couple's public appearance certainly caused a stir, one of Harry's accessories may have stolen the show.

Prince Harry carries a sweet accessory for his NYC meeting at the UN

According to People, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed leaving the UN building, fans couldn't help but spot the very special accessory that Harry carried in his arms. The royal held a black, personalized portfolio in his hand that had the phrase "Archie's Papa" embossed on it. The sweet message shows just how dedicated Harry is to being a loving father to his sonĀ Archie, 2, and daughter Lilibet Diana, 3 months.

The pair's children stayed behind in California during their outing. This marks the first time that the duo have been seen out together in public since little Lilibet's birth in June. Lilibet was named after two very important women in Harry's life, his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and his late mother Princess Diana. In the past, Harry has admitted that it's important to him to keep his mother's memory alive. He even confessed that he has a photo of Diana in Archie's room and that one of his first words was "grandma."

It seems that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are getting the most out of their NYC trip. In addition to their meeting at the UN, the couple also visited the One World Observatory at the World Trade Center alongside Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray, and Governor Kathy Hochul. They also made time to visit the 9/11 museum and memorial during their time in the city.
