This Is What Drew Barrymore Really Thinks About Her Ex-Husband's New Wife

"Charlie's Angels" star Drew Barrymore married art consultant Will Kopelman in 2012 but the pair divorced in 2016, after welcoming two daughters into the world (via Us Magazine). At the time Barrymore said, "Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family. Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually, you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on." Luckily for Koppelman, he was able to find a fresh start with Vogue's director of fashion development Alexandra Michler. The pair got engaged in February 2021 and tied the knot in August (via People).

While Barrymore and Kopelman are no longer together, they've mastered the art of co-parenting Olive and Frankie. "The Drew Barrymore Show" host said, "I think Will and I did a kick a** job of putting our kids first and showing solidarity." Barrymore recently stopped by Dax Shepard's popular podcast "Armchair Expert," where she shared her opinion of Kopleman's new wife and how she fits into the girls' lives.

Drew Barrymore believes Alexandra Michler is 'the most amazing woman''

Drew Barrymore revealed on the podcast "Armchair Expert" that she absolutely adores her ex-husband Will Kopelman's new wife Alexandra Michler (via People). She gushed, "He just got remarried actually last week to this most amazing woman. This incredible woman Allie, and I just feel like I won the lottery with her, like, I really did. I feel like I'm lucky that there's this new beautiful soul that came into our lives" (via Daily Mail). Though Barrymore is clearly enamored with Olive and Frankie's stepmom, she doesn't overwhelm the 33-year-old. She explained, "I give them space. We hang out. We do dinners with all the kids, birthdays. We might take a trip together, we're finding our way in a beautiful, slow, respectful manner."

Barrymore closed by adding that she admires the relationship that Michler has developed with her daughters. She shared, "I'm just so lucky because she came into Will's life and got to know my daughters very well and very real, saw all the warts and all the hearts, everything in between." Despite wanting her relationship to work out with Kopelman, Barrymore believes that everything is how it should be.
