Is This What Meghan And Harry Are Really Like Behind The Scenes?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took New York City by storm last week. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with government leaders and toured the city during their first public appearance together as a couple since the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana, back in June, per Us Weekly. The Sussexes were seen meeting with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Kathy Hochul. They also visited the 9/11 Museum and memorial and met with US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield during their trip where they spoke about issues like the pandemic and social issues. "Wonderful meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Important discussion of COVID, racial justice, and raising mental health awareness," Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield tweeted after meeting with the royals (via NY Post).

However, the main goal of Meghan and Harry's NYC trip was to help raise awareness for the COVID-19 vaccination and call for vaccination equality for all. The couple took part in the Global Citizen Live event at Central Park over the weekend. They were joined by other famous faces such as Jennifer Lopez and the band Coldplay (via People). During the event, the duo spoke out about their thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Meghan and Harry made a splash in NYC

People reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were just two of the celebrities in attendance at the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park over the weekend. The Sussexes shared their passion for COVID-19 vaccination equality. Sources tell the outlet that the crowd at the event were very excited to see Meghan and Harry waiting to take the stage and address the masses. "For the crowd to be that energetic and attentive that early does speak to that they were wanting to hear what they wanted to say," the insider stated. "They are completely invested in vaccine equity. They were laser-focused that was what they wanted to deliver on. They led the charge on vaccine equity," the source added.

The royals reportedly shared their plea to the pharmaceutical companies to help push vaccinations to all areas and people. "Guys, we have what we need to vaccinate the world," Harry said. "Many countries are ready to produce vaccines back home, yet they aren't allowed to because ultra-wealthy pharmaceutical companies are not sharing the recipes to make them."

As for Meghan and Harry's behavior away from the crowd, an onlooker claims that they were wonderful with all those behind the scenes at the event. "They were really warm with everyone," the sources said, adding that the duo hopped on a golf cart that was used to transport the celebrities out of the event.

It seems that Meghan and Harry made a huge splash at the event with the crowd and those in charge of the organization.
